There are reasonable problems with the tax on unrealized gains ideas but the problem demands a solution: the people in the $10 billion+ range of wealth pay nearly zero income taxes, borrow til death, then heirs get a cost basis reset to pay zero capital gains.

@ZephyrTeachout This is huge!! People don’t realize how bad these giant hospital/medical monopolies are. My entire state is served by one giant (and awful) healthcare provider that gobbles every independent or small office out there. It’s awful for patients and for healthcare workers

So... Minnesota has been leading the nation in passing new antitrust legislation. Last year, for example, a new law that bans hospital mergers unless they are in the public interest. Walz, my friends, is a trustbuster!
