@hankgreen I'm going to ask my mom if she'll buy me a bundle for sockmas. She'll like that it goes to a good cause.

For the last three years, we have had tens of thousands of people subscribed to a monthly sock subscription that donates all profit to charity. Every month, we order a little extra, which has resulted in...a warehouse problematically full of socks. We are...oversocked.

Listening to @MommaCusses_ book and it just dawned on me that my mom used the "momma needs a time-out" method. There were numerous times where my mom would say "I'm going for a time-out and I advice you do the same. We'll reconvene in 20".

@podia do you realize that spammers are using your site for who knows what? I just got an email about a new account and to verify yet it wasn't me who signed up. Don't let accounts use your site without an actual verify first and maybe make them fill in more than just a name.

@hankgreen My 1 year old is definitely not in the average. My 4 year old didn't sleep very well either and only now has mostly stopped having night terrors. The 1 year old also has night terrors.

@gothspiderbitch I had this issue when I kept my spices in a cabinet, out of sight. I didn't really use spices because I couldn't see them. Now I have a spice rack on my counter and my food is properly seasoned and I can see when something needs refilled. No more expired spices in my house.

I told my mom that her apple pie tasted a little weird this year, and she goes “Really? I always use the same recipe. The nutmeg was a bit clumpy, maybe it didn’t blend well…” She takes out the jar to show me, and after a very long pause, I say “Mom…this expired 24 years ago.”

@Wendys It's really frustrating that your employees always tell me that a Dave's single has mustard on it when obviously it doesn't. 😑

@PicturesFoIder Pennies, they cost more to "make" than their face value. Plus, 8% of pennies produced each year end up "lost". Nickels are also in the same boat as pennies.

@AustinSpomer I gave up coffee both times while pregnant due to an aversion and it was the worst. I wanted coffee yet it made me want to barf.

To those that have given up coffee; has your life improved at all? What's it like being sad all the time?

Y’all…some folks at @NASA and @NASAJPL started wandering the halls telling people I had cancer and collecting mission patches and pins and stickers and posters (not pictured) and sent them as part of a huge care package 😭

@hankgreen I know that talking about cancer can be a difficult thing. I feel as if it needs to be talked about more because the general pop doesn't know anything, really. There are too many taboo topics that shouldn't be taboo. Thank you for being an educator in such a hard time.

I feel like I should start prepping people for the reality that I'm not going to have an "I'M CURED" day any time soon...I will likely get to a "No Evidence of Disease" state, which would be extremely good news. Then you actively monitor for relapse for years. If there's a relapse, you build a new treatment plan, and with hodgkin lymphoma, you still have a pretty good chance of getting back to NED. With HL specifically, five years after NED, they say you can comfortably say you beat it. I will certainly let you know if and when we hit that day, but it will be...more than five years from now.

@LifeByLacey Where I work, it gets dropped, and then two days later, it gets put back up. This last time has been a week so far. I still wear one due to having a kid at home that isn't 1 yet.

@hankgreen My son loves "mushmellows" he'll be sad the next time he asks for some and I will have to tell him there isn't anymore. Then he'll proceed to tell me that it's okay we can go to the market to get some. 😆

Accidentally left the marshmallows out and Orin ate...ten? Twenty? He says "a couple" but the bag's lack of marshmallows disagrees.

@hankgreen All you can do is ask, but make sure to start asking before the day of removal. This way, people have the chance to get approval for keeping it.

Any surgeons out there...can I keep my port after they take it out? Can they put it in a little baggie for me? Can I bring in a jar of isopropyl alcohol for them? Can I just buy a clean one? I want to make a video about it.

@beebeeeeep @hankgreen If you plan on breastfeeding, just know that that stink doesn't go away until well after you have weaned. Also, both my babies screamed bloody murder every time I wore deodorant. They liked my stink. Lol

Weird chemo symptom: I stink more. There's sulfur in some of the drugs and it finds its way out!

I'm not in a financial place where I could feasibly contribute, so hopefully, my sharing this will reach someone who can. I'll plan better for next year. #crashcoursecoin

@karinaswords Same both times I was pregnant, I didn't really believe it until the last trimester. Even baby kicks didn't convince me since I didn't feel them that much due to where my placenta was located both times.

Me to my brain: So, we have cancer. My brain: we might have cancer? Me: No, we definitely do. Brain: we should do something about that, just in case it’s cancer. Me: No! Dude! It is definitely cancer! Brain: So, what, we do chemo? Me: Yup. Brain: …just in case.
