Markets move fast. Headlines lie faster. I go 3 layers deep: past the press release and narrative, into what's actually happening and why it matters to you.

NEWS: Grok 4.3 is now live in Kilo Code. xAI's latest model is designed to "think" before answering whether you're planning, coding or just asking questions. It now ranks just above Muse Spark and Claude Sonnet 4.6 on the Intelligence Index, while staying priced for everyday use.

Wow! Given @elonmusk new comp package he will likely be worth $3.5-4T when SpaceX hits $7.5T, with a bonus worth an additional $500B+ sitting there waiting for 1M people to move to Mars.

SPACEX’S STARLINK ARPU FELL 18% Starlink individual subscribers rose to 8.9M in 2025 from 2.3M in 2023, while ARPU fell to $81/month from $99 Starlink revenue still nearly tripled to $11.4B from $3.9B and made up about 60% of SpaceX’s $18.7B revenue in 2025. The decline reflects cheaper plans and growth outside North America, where pricing is lower. SpaceX also expects ARPU to keep falling as Starlink expands globally. Individual subscribers are now Starlink’s biggest and fastest-growing segment, driving about $2.4B of revenue growth, versus $1.4B growth from enterprise.

I also covered the $3 billion free cash flow swing, the one-sentence ending of Model S and X production hidden inside the transcript, and the Dojo contradiction between what Elon said in August 2025 and what the Q1 2026 shareholder deck says about it. Full breakdown here: youtu.be/Qbe1jMIyCc8

TLDR April 22, 2026. Elon on the earnings call: "Hardware 3 simply does not have the capability to achieve unsupervised." "I wish it were otherwise." 4 million vehicles. Owners paid $3,000 to $15,000 for FSD. A collective claim had launched 8 days earlier. By the time Elon confirmed it, 3,000 owners from 29 countries had joined. €6 million in combined FSD purchases. Tesla's response: a discounted trade-in. Not a refund. Separately: 19.2% gross margin, highest in a year, driven partly by one-time items Tesla never quantified. The CFO was asked. He said what they were not. Not what they were. Same quarter: $2B sent to SpaceX. $1.4B in free cash flow. Guided negative free cash flow for the next three quarters. If 5% of US and Canada HW3 owners who paid for FSD file claims at average $10,000, exposure exceeds $140 million. Not in any financial guidance Tesla has published.

4 million Tesla vehicles were sold with Full Self-Driving as a selling point. Some owners paid $3,000 at launch. By 2022, the same feature cost $15,000. On April 22, 2026, on the public earnings call, Elon said this: "Unfortunately, Hardware 3 — I wish it were otherwise — but Hardware 3 simply does not have the capability to achieve unsupervised." Five words in the middle of that sentence. "I wish it were otherwise." Not a product memo. Not a support page update. The CEO, on the public record, for the first time. Eight days before that statement, a collective claim had already launched in the Netherlands. By the time Elon confirmed it publicly, 3,000 owners from 29 countries had joined. Their combined FSD purchases: over €6 million. Tesla's response to affected owners: a discounted trade-in. Not a refund. A discount on buying a new car from the same company. Now look at what else was in the same call. Automotive gross margin: 19.2%. The highest in over a year. Tesla disclosed one-time items related to warranty and tariffs helped the number. They never said how much. The CFO was asked. He confirmed what they were not. He did not say what they were. In the same quarter, Tesla sent $2.002 billion to SpaceX. Free cash flow for the quarter: $1.4 billion. Then Tesla guided negative free cash flow for Q2, Q3, and Q4. The call lasted as long as it took for every gain to disappear. I keep coming back to the word "unfortunately."

This is why you have to understand what you own. For $GOOGL almost HALF of net income this quarter was from "other" investment paper gains. This is not from Google's core business and has an entirely different risk profile. PE can look cheap on paper if you don't get the full picture.

UNREAL: Vanguard just bought $680,000,000 of $MSTR. $12,000,000,000,000 in assets. The most conservative money on Wall Street. Not a hedge fund chasing pumps. Not retail buying hype. The most boring. careful. Long-term money in existence. Quietly front-running a structural shift. $MSTR isn't a stock. It's a Bitcoin proxy. And when $12,000,000,000,000 in conservative capital starts moving. You stop watching headlines. You watch the flows. The flows just moved.

Singapore Airlines has just announced that it is adopting SpaceX's @Starlink. The rollout will begin in Q1 2027 and be completed by end of 2029. "With more than 10,000 satellites launched to low Earth orbit, Starlink can deliver multi-gigabit connectivity to aircraft using its Aero Terminal, which can support up to 1 Gbps per antenna. This means customers in all cabin classes will enjoy faster, smoother, and seamless connectivity from take‑off to landing for activities such as video streaming, sharing content on social media, gaming, and sending large files." - SIA
