Well I believe God used fallible men to write The Bible and I believe that scripture is perfect because of God. However, I find it odd that the men God used to organize the New Testament in 380 AD believed differently than you and I. Are we really comfortable saying we know better than the men God used to say what is scripture and what is not? They spoke fluent Greek and could understand the word in full context. What’s your thoughts on this
English

@DanielAugust4D @BibleInContext1 So you believe fallible man over the Holy Spirit inspired Bible?
That will not end well for you.
You say that you are Born Again? Did it involve water? I bet it did.
I just posted this today.

The Truth About the Eucharist That Catholics Don't Want You to See

We have the writings of the earliest Christians that predate a cannoned New Testament. We don’t take them as Gospel per se, but they explain what services were like back then. Of course I am fallible and full or error. I believe I am Born Again yes. But when we have the writings of the earliest Christians describing what they believed, why ignore them and base beliefs off someone’s interpretation from 1500 years after they lived- which is what is Protestants do. Because we can say “we’re Bible believing” all we want, none of us agree with each other fully.
English

@DanielAugust4D @BibleInContext1 The earliest Christians in Acts were Born Again. I see no mention of the Eucharist.
You’re demonstrating how easy it is to be deceived by fallible man when you base beliefs on church history.
Are you Born Again? John 3:3.
Grace thru Faith thru Jesus saves. Eph 2,8-9.
English

I’m Protestant, but reading church history makes it hard to stay such. Earliest Christians, the ones who directly received the New Testament, they believe in real presence of the Eucharist and it was the main reason they met together. Not to hear a sermon. What are we to do with this info? Say the earliest Christians who learned at the direct oversight of the apostles were wrong?
English

@BibleInContext1 Just another false man made Catholic doctrine. Water plus sacraments plus good deeds will not save you.

@BeSaintly "Do not be like the Pharisees..." unless you wear a mask.
Still stirs the ego to make public displays of aceticism for show like this. This is just Catholic equivalent of Protestant showmanship.
Asceticism should be private. Nobody did this before the Schism.

Claim: “The Rock is not Peter, it’s Christ or the Gospel.”
The Greek text doesn’t support that.
•Matt 16:18 — “You are Petros (Peter), and on this petra (rock) I will build my Church”
In Koine Greek:
•Petros = masculine form (name)
•Petra = the same word adapted for grammar
Jesus is clearly making a direct wordplay:
👉 “You are Rock, and on this rock…”
If He meant something else (like faith or Gospel), He had clearer words available, but He ties it to Peter himself.
Aramaic (Jesus’ spoken language):
Jesus didn’t speak Greek, He spoke Aramaic.
•John 1:42 — “You shall be called Cephas” (Kepha = rock)
Aramaic has one word:
👉 Kepha = rock
So the original statement is:
👉 “You are Kepha, and on this Kepha I will build my Church”
No distinction. Same word. Same referent.
Context confirms it’s Peter:
•Matt 16:19 — “I give you the keys of the kingdom”
•“Whatever you bind… whatever you loose…”
Singular. Personal. Authority given to Peter, not an abstract idea.
“The Rock is Christ”
Christ is the ultimate foundation (1 Cor 3:11).
But that doesn’t exclude delegated authority:
•Eph 2:20 — “built on the foundation of the apostles”
👉 Christ is the source.
👉 Apostles (with Peter first) are the visible foundation.
“Early Church agrees”
Not uniformly—and many explicitly affirm Peter’s role:
•Tertullian — calls Peter the rock
•Origen — ties the rock to Peter
•Cyprian of Carthage — speaks of the Chair of Peter
There is no consensus denying Peter. That’s a modern claim.
Bottom line:
•Greek → points to Peter
•Aramaic → removes all ambiguity (same word)
•Context → authority given directly to Peter
•Tradition → affirms Petrine leadership
“The Rock = only Christ/Gospel” ignores the language, the context, and the historical understanding.

@pribation @ruckusofantioch @OrthodoxWario Pretty sure this is Orthodox. Or at the very least orthobroism. Claiming to have the faith of the apostles while acting like demons. Wish ole Wario luck in the toll houses
English

Since @OrthodoxWario wants to dox me, I think it’s fair we ask the OCA Metropolitan, and the Bishop of Denver about what the OCA tolerates concerning their parishioners. An exposition of the apostate Wario will featured in this 🧵 ⬇️

I see a growing sentiment against Fr Stephen de Young because he easily knowledge-gaps every enemy of Holy Orthodoxy.

Stephen de Young is easily the worst popular orthodox author and it isn't even close. No citations for anything he claims, terrible Biblical exegesis, and nebulochaotic theology comprised of hastily mashed together ideas with no coherent structure.
English

I grew up Pentecostal. You’re right man. It truly is. Have Stories for days. Here’s one to back up your claim.. during a prayer night that looked pretty similar to the video we’re commenting under, one teenage girl walked to the stage and said she was God and immediately was telling everyone specific things about their life that no one could possibly know. Her face changed to that of someone more mature, along with her posture and voice. Hind site- she was clearly demon possessed.

Pentecostalism is the fastest growing religious movement in the world, and you're wasting your time rehashing Reformation era polemics

Never mind previous Popes having gay orgies in the Vatican, or Priests touching kids by the Thousands, or the Church selling fake indulgences to the very people Jesus Christ told you to protect. Nope, it’s the Protestants who evangelized the modern World and built the best parts about America. The fruit from Protestantism is all fake and it’s the devil working behind the scenes & no that doesn’t contradict Matthew 12, don’t even read it cause you won’t understand it cause you’re not a priest.

@sola_chad He’s live on stream. He’s trying to get engagement to get people to come view his show. Catholics have always said this. Orthodox say the same.

bible.com/bible/100/gal.…
English

@childofchrist_j @RealBrysonGray True for a time, but after receiving Christ we must then follow him. Christ showed us that a man can make it all his life without sinning. We can do it. He showed us the way.
English

@RealBrysonGray Brother, you’re apart of the first heretical group the Apostle Paul wrote against. Judaizers are dead wrong. Not sure how you can criticize anyone’s interpretation when Galatians destroys your worldview
English

@RevIsaacWirtz @sola_chad Yeah man… this. This is just too much and you can’t tell me this doesn’t contradict scripture. Nor was this the faith of the apostles.
English

@gunzofnavarrone @sola_chad It did at the time… but there were for sure additions past the deposit of faith of the Apostles mentioned in Jude and the formation of NT around 380 AD.
English

@sola_chad Scripture doesn't say "you must use scripture to support your theology". Scripture actually points to the CHURCH being the pillar of truth.
English

@Marvin1789798 @CivicMindedTurd @Catholicizm1 Good point, but wouldn’t you agree Church shouldn’t contradict scripture once they’ve announced what their interpretation of it is?
English

@CivicMindedTurd @Catholicizm1 If a religion is based only in scripture how do you chose which scriptures are canon and which one not. Catholic tradition helps to follow a common set of rules, mesnwhile there are at least 30k protestant cults, the most radical protestant christian cults are in the US.
English

@RealBrysonGray When you going live next? I gotta call in. Brother, the first heretical group Paul battled was the Judaizers. How can you be in this group?
English

Taco, I’m Protestant but I’ll tell you where things are getting shaky. The men who God used to decide what books were in the NT or not, literally prayed to Mary and saints. Are we to believe we knew better than they did? They could speak the language (Greek) and had reasonably close successions to those who walked with Jesus and the original apostles.
English

“When you enter the land which Yahweh your God gives you, you shall not learn to imitate the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices soothsaying or one who interprets omens or a sorcerer, or one who is an enchanter or a medium or a spiritist or one who inquires of the dead. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh; and because of these abominations Yahweh your God will dispossess them from before you.”

How can Mary and the Saints hear our prayers?
English

No. This is complete nonsense. Prenups are biblical. In Jewish marriages during Jesus’ day every Jewish marriage had a prenup in place called a Ketubah. If Jesus had an issue with these He would’ve said something. Don’t let this modern day feminist Christianity infect your mind. If you’re a man with significant assets GET A PRENUP.
