A reminder on the evolution of 2020 "stolen election" theories: First we had mail-in fraud + Dominion + "illegal law changes" (Nov–Dec 2020) then → Georgia election workers + foreign interference/Italygate (Dec 2020–Jan 2021, concurrent) then → 2,000 Mules (ballot stuffers) (2022) then → social-media-censorship revival via Twitter Files (Dec 2022) then → renewed foreign-interference claims (2024–present). Through all this, we've had: 1. Dominion getting $787 million from Fox News for defamation 2. Rudy Giuliani admitting he lied about Georgia election workers (and the jury awarding the workers $148 million) 3. Sidney Powell admitting in court "no reasonable person would conclude" her claims of election fraud “were truly statements of fact" 4. The Gateway Pundit retracting claims of election fraud in Atlanta 5. The Media company that put out D'Souza's 2,000 Mules film apologizing and removing it after law enforcement proved it falsely accused people of fraud 6. Newsmax and One America News Network (OANN) settling with Smartmatic It is NOT true that none of these allegations have seen a court room. Most have. Of the 64 cases of fraud that Trump and his legal team filed in court, 30 were dismissed that included a hearing on the merits, 14 were voluntarily dismissed by Trump and his allies before a hearing, and just 20 were dismissed for lack of standing before a hearing on the merits. One case, involving far too few votes to impact the election, prevailed in Pennsylvania. That case was about voter ID deadlines, not election fraud. Those are the facts. Whatever happens Thursday night, please try to remember them.

Who can possibly take any of this seriously? Not our allies. not Iran. Not the American people. Hard to imagine a deeper blow to US credibility than a President just firing off one lie, U-turn, and imaginary tale after another.

🚨🚨🚨Trump on Truth Social: Oil is flowing like never before, thanks to the awesome Power of the United States Military. A special salute to Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Dan Caine, and Commander of the United States Central Command, Admiral Brad Cooper. Because of them, and all members of the Most Powerful Military anywhere in the World, BY FAR, the Strait of Hormuz is open to ALL Ship traffic except for Iran — and that is because of their lying, violent, malicious leadership, which is taking them down the path of TOTAL DESTRUCTION. We will therefore have a FULL Blockade, but only on Ships coming to and from Iranian ports, or carrying anything have to do with Iranian cargo. Based on highly productive conversations with Middle East leadership, I have decided to replace the 20% United States Reimbursement Fee with Trade and Investment Deals that the various Gulf States will be making into the United States. Those Investments will be MASSIVE but, at the same time, extraordinarily good for them, and their future. As everyone is aware, we have the largest Dollar Investment into the United States, of any Country in History, but these new Investments will make that Number even larger, and we will see Factories, Plants, and Equipment pour into the United States at Historic levels, which will create additional millions of High Paying AMERICAN Jobs! America is WINNING again, winning like never before. The days of Iran killing hundreds of thousands of people, including 52,000 protestors, are OVER and, most importantly, IRAN WILL NEVER HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON! Thank you for your attention to this matter

It's obviously a big deal, and we should all be aghast, but I really can't get over this whole framing that Trump is going to "declare" two elected senators illegitimate. That has about as much weight as me declaring myself king of the realm. Just actual parody at this point.

When I read the US-Iran memorandum, I literally gasped with surprise. To Trump, the words on the Strait of Hormuz meant Iran was opening it. To the Iranians, they meant they were in charge of it. Those words were their victory and future leverage…a heavy price will be paid for years to come. thetimes.com/comment/column…

This is, of course, completely outrageous. But it also warrants merciless ridicule. He will make some big announcement. And he will have no ability to do anything that affects these duly elected Senators’ status. The danger is he uses this lie as an excuse to undermine the midterms.

NEWS: President Trump is planning to announce that Georgia's two senators, Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, are illegitimate because of fraud, a well-placed source in Georgia tells us. Announcement could come as soon as tonight.

Good luck with this, Mr. President. As much as this won't happen, this shouldn't be ignored. It is a sign of Trump's frustration and awareness that he has squandered leverage through this deeply flawed campaign. Every step has been mismanaged and misadvised (w/n and outside USG)

BREAKING: US President Donald Trump says Washington is reinstating a naval blockade against Iran -- but also says the US will demand a 20% fee on all cargo shipped to guarantee the Strait of Hormuz is open to other countries (on first reading, that equals to ~$15 per barrel!!!!)

Marco Rubio: “That’s the law. It’s an international waterway. No country is allowed to charge tolls on an international waterway. That’s international law. That’s the way it is all over the world, and that’s the way we expect it will be here.” Trump: “We’re charging tolls.”

It seems, from all reporting, that ICE today - shot someone who was not attempting to run them over but, rather, "flee the scene" - was not the person they were looking for - who had a 3yr old in the car - who they dragged out into the street - all while not wearing body cams

Donald Trump’s spiral continues. The failed president, pocketing billions as he drives up prices, is afraid to lose the midterms. So he will reheat debunked election conspiracy theories and tell bizarre new lies to deny his 2020 defeat and attack voting rights. This is a disaster for Trump puppet Mike Collins. Already mired in scandal, Mike will now have to double down on conspiracy theories toxic in the General Election. From the start, Trump’s obsession with Georgia elections revealed his fury that Black voters were instrumental to his defeat. I'm asking concerned citizens nationwide to join me and support our voter protection efforts in Georgia.

There's a very common playbook that leaders use when they fear that they or their party are going to lose an election. So, here are some of the steps in that authoritarian playbook that you should look out for: 1⃣ Install loyalists to key positions around the elections. The president, unlike his first term, has really put in deep loyalists across the government; in the attorney general’s office, in charge of elections and election security. Putting in people who are more loyal to him than they are to the Constitution and who will do whatever he says. 2⃣ Sow doubt in our election system. The president has been doing this since 2020. He’s talking falsely about how our elections were rigged in 2020. He’s been talking about how the elections we just had in Los Angeles were rigged. He said in the State of the Union this year that if he and his party don't win in November, then the 2026 are rigged. The president has come out against mail-in voting and absentee voting. The president is already starting to do this by suing states across the country, including Michigan, for their voter rolls. He has particularly taken a sharp look at the city of Detroit and in Wayne County. This is all part of a bigger play to sow doubt into the efficacy of our elections. 3⃣ Suggest that there is a crisis threatening our elections. This is all about amping up the stories and the coverage and the tweets about how we are actually in an emergency. That our elections are so unsafe, so problematic, that the president has to declare some sort of emergency. 4⃣ Respond to the perceived threat. Once you've created an emergency and you’ve said our elections are under threat, now the head of state has to respond to that emergency. Maybe they send the uniform military; maybe they send the federal law enforcement; maybe they feel the need to be on location at polling places. Maybe now they are seizing ballots and voting machines. 5⃣ If none of that works and the elections don't go the way of the leader, completely question the results. Sue to try and have them overturned. We lived through this in 2020, and as someone who, on January 6, barricaded herself in her own office, we’ve seen that President Trump does not accept the results of elections that he loses.

An intelligence agency that actually manages to recruit a highly placed political figure in an enemy country—and presumably hopes to repeat such a success again—doesn't just expose its recruit once the specific operation fails, especially if he's still alive and still in country.

Opening the Strait of Hormuz wasn't one of Trump's original war aims because it was already open before the war.
