@AdinHaykin1 Armenia is like a disabled grandpa. Zero contribution to the world and the only thing people feel for them is pitty. They live off of other nations: Russia, France/EU, US, Iran and now Azerbaijan is providing them with energy and wheat also. They're not self-sufficient at all.

@duertufs Modern Armenians show the closest genetic continuity to ancient populations in the region. This includes Urartian era samples.

Though of course they originate from the South Caucasus, the Armenians have unironically a much stronger case for being indigenous to Palestine than most Israelis do. They didn’t show up in the late 19th or 20th century with a narrative, but rather have continuously been present in the Levant for about 1,700 years, and are thoroughly integrated into the local cultures.

The vast majority of Armenians arrived in the 19th-20th centuries.
Only a few Armenian families in Jerusalem have a 300-500-year-old presence and only one has a history that may go back to the 11th century.
