@CImray Lake of menteith is probs the best place for big pike without putting in loads of hours to find good places to go. I dare say me and marty would be up for a wee go at the pike.

@DanielClarkson9 Pish 😂 Last landed a salmon in May, then that was it until the auld October bangers ♠️ Had a couple good days at them, was good fun on the wee single hander. Aug / Sept, I’d have sworn there wasn’t a fish in the river. Was a few days of right good water too. You have any joy?

Decided to brave the elements and go for a cast today…howling winds, sideways sleet and freezing fingers and toes…all forgotten, when this absolute thumper slipped into the net 😁 Always wanted to get one with snow on the ground….only took 30 years of trying!

Finally after many blank outings I’m rewarded with a sea trout first cast 🎣😊
