Sea trout fishing, ungodly hours of standing in a river, mostly catching nothing and lamenting about how it used to be. But occasionally this. 2:30 am and soaked to the skin before I even saw a fish last night. This is why we do it. Perfection, the king of fish (IMHO). 7lb

It’s #salmon #fishing eve for me, but I don’t think I’ve ever felt so underwhelmed by it all as I have this year. It reminds me of being a teenager knowing Santa is a myth and you’re now too old for a bike or game console so it’ll be socks and Lynx box sets from here on in!

@CImray Lake of menteith is probs the best place for big pike without putting in loads of hours to find good places to go. I dare say me and marty would be up for a wee go at the pike.
