@MarkyJDavids @TheNBACentel Sorry sorry let me clarify. You are saying Wemby got in their heads. I'm saying your right. I'm also saying, seems like that is a good thing that happened because the Knicks made him look like a choke artist

@DanielGulotta @TheNBACentel Knicks fans know they were dominated by Wemby and the Spurs in all five games. That's why Wemby is still in their heads. If it were not for De'aaron Fox and Mitch Johnson's blunders the Spurs would have been champions 🏆 before Friday the 19th of June.

@MarkyJDavids @TheNBACentel Is Wemby being in our heads a bad thing considering the Knicks beat him in 5 and embarrassed him with four double-digit comebacks, including the largest comeback in finals history? I hope he stays there!

@MarshallGreen_ If it goes in and the Spurs have 4 seconds on the clock instead of 1.8, they might score

@swervo_oo @Nettorious @KuKhahil Oh shit lmao. Nah Isaiah Thomas has one crazy MVP like year, but hes nowhere close to Kyrie or Brunson lol. The first-team is impressive, but in the context of his career is not enough. I just assumed we were talking Isiah because he's actually in the same convo of top 15 PGs

@Nettorious @chudball445 @swervo_oo @KuKhahil You're talking series to series now. Kyrie was absolutely a 1B in every sense of the word. But its a different level of responsibility to be a 1A. He was never successful as a 1A. Brunson wasn't the best player games 1-4, but 5 was so singular, it made up the gap from the first 4

@chudball445 @swervo_oo @DanielGulotta @KuKhahil Y’all always try to downplay Kyrie’s contribution like he didn’t hit every clutch shot the Cavs needed. They needed each other to win that ring. Brunson wasn’t even the best player in the Finals. He wasn’t playing well until the last game and skewed the line with a gd performance

@swervo_oo @chudball445 @Nettorious @KuKhahil Its difficult to compare because you have Kyrie as the robin to Lebron in his prime. I'm not sure whether Brunson in that situation does better or worse tbh but obviously the Cavs championship as a whole is more impressive. Its just so so hard to compare a 1B/2 to a 1A that won

@chudball445 @DanielGulotta @Nettorious @KuKhahil Aside from that do you think Brunsons performance against a first time playoff Spurs is better than Kyries performance against a 73-9/reigning champs warriors? If you do then there’s no point lmfao

@swervo_oo @Nettorious @KuKhahil Yeah but he also had 3 first teams and made it to three straight finals. To me he's a top 50 guy and Brunson is just now cracking the top 100. Can totally get to those heights, but to your point, likely needs at least another first team plus some longeivity

@swervo_oo @Nettorious @KuKhahil Its not a disrespect Kyrie thing, its more of a 1A on a championship team is almost always gonna be ahead of a 2 or even 1B unless the 2/1B has significantly more accolades or playoff success. Also Isaiah is 100% ahead of Brunson and it isn't really close- back to back too

@DanielGulotta @Nettorious @KuKhahil We don’t respect historic second options enough man, His performance in the finals against a top 3 team ever is just as impressive to me. Curious would you put Isaiah Thomas over him as well since he also placed 5th in MVP and has the same amount of second team all nba?

@swervo_oo @Nettorious @KuKhahil Even with that, Jalen got a top 5 MVP finish last year and 10 this year whereas Kyrie has never gotten a single MVP. And you basically made my point by saying, when Kyrie was a first option, those weren't his best years. HOFer but he was best as a second option; Jalen is a 1

@DanielGulotta @Nettorious @KuKhahil Kyrie was playing in an era where Stephen Curry got a second team all nba selection, competition was much more difficult. All nba doesn’t respect 2nd options too, they gave 18-19 celtics Kyrie an all nba selection when that’s not even top 3 kyrie years.

@MGRADS Kyrie has made one 2nd team all NBA and two third teams. Brunson has already made THREE 2nd team All NBAs. Kyrie has never gotten an MVP vote, Brunson finished top 5 last year Kyrie won the finals as a No. 2, Brunson won it as a No. 1

Also on no planet am I ever to type or say, “Jalen Brunson is better than Kyrie Irving,” love Jalen, but even he would look at you crazy if you said that to him.

Paul Pierce says if Jalen Brunson wins a title, he’s better All-Time than Kyrie Irving: “I’ve never seen a Kyrie lead team win a title. And as great as Kyrie has been in his career, there’s gonna be some tough conversations made if or when the Knicks win this title about Jalen Brunson and where he stands in NBA history as one of the better guards.” (Via @NFGShow)

Paul Pierce says Madison Square Garden is not that intimidating: “Like I know, the aura and the mystique and all the legend of the Garden, but it’s not a big history there. It’s not like you’re walking into the Boston Garden, you see 17 goddamn banners, 30 retired numbers. You know what I’m saying? It’s certain arenas that has a certain mystique. And I know the Garden has like celebrities and it could be, you know, rowdy outside and all of that, but like it ain’t arena to where you like, damn, we got to go here and play.” (Via @NFGShow)
