TO CHRISTIAN BIKINI-DEFENDERS Since we are on the topic of modest swimwear, and since people are already yelling at me for saying that Christian shouldn’t be wearing bikinis, I thought it would be helpful to post a few excerpts from the history of the bikini. My brothers and sisters in Christ, this is what you are defending. Does it square with a Christian view of the world? - The following are paragraphs taken from Wikipedia: - The modern bikini swimsuit was introduced by French clothing designer Louis Réard in July 1946, and was named after the Bikini Atoll, where the first public test of a nuclear bomb had taken place four days before. When he was unable to find a fashion model willing to showcase his revealing design, Réard hired Micheline Bernardini, an 18-year old nude dancer from the Casino de Paris. He announced that his swimsuit, was "smaller than the world's smallest bathing suit". Réard said that "like the [atom] bomb, the bikini is small and devastating". Fashion writer Diana Vreeland described the bikini as the "atom bomb of fashion". Bernardini received 50,000 fan letters, many of them from men. As competing designs emerged, he declared in advertisements that a swimsuit could not be a genuine bikini "unless it could be pulled through a wedding ring." “As subsequent history would show, the bikini was more than a skimpy garment. It was a state of mind.” — Lena Lenček Réard himself would later describe it as a "two-piece bathing suit which reveals everything about a girl except for her mother's maiden name." Fashion magazine Modern Girl Magazine in 1957 stated that "it is hardly necessary to waste words over the so-called bikini since it is inconceivable that any girl with tact and decency would ever wear such a thing". Playboy first featured a bikini on its cover in 1962; the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue debut two years later featured Babette March in a white bikini on the cover. This has been credited with making the bikini a legitimate piece of clothing. - END Wikipedia quotes. - This is what many modern Christians are defending. What many modern Christian women are wearing. What many modern Christian men are allowing their wives and daughters to wear. Meanwhile, the Bible says: “Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments, but rather by means of good works, as is proper for women making a claim to godliness.” - 1 Tim. 2:9-10 It is chilling how easily the devil can get Christians to do his work.

In 1948, a woman discovered a 4-letter code that could alter reality. She used it successfully for 30 years. Her name was Helen Hadsell. At first glance, she was just a housewife in Texas, navigating life in a world that demanded hard work and careful survival. Growing up during the Great Depression, she had been told again and again: “If you want something, you have to earn it.” But Helen wondered… what if there was another way? One day, she read The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale. One line struck her like lightning: “Thoughts produce results.” She didn’t just read it. She tested it. She entered a contest. She closed her eyes and imagined her name being called as the winner, the prize in her hands, the rush of joy she would feel. Weeks later, the phone rang. She had won. And that was just the beginning. Helen kept testing this method…contest after contest, year after year. Between 1950 and 1970, she won over 1,000 prizes: TVs, vacations, cash, even a house. She became known as “The Contest Queen.” When asked how she did it, she revealed her secret: a 4-letter code called SPEC. S > Select Be clear about what you truly want. The mind responds to clarity, not wishful thinking. P > Project Visualize it vividly. Hear it, see it, feel it as if it already belongs to you. E > Expect Not hope. Expectation. Doubt closes the door; certainty opens it. C > Collect Take action. Enter the contest, submit your work, move forward. Imagination sets the stage action brings it to life. Helen’s method wasn’t magic. It was a shift in identity, perception, and expectation. You don’t experience what you chase. You experience what you have normalized as a feeling. But here’s the deeper question: If reality mirrors your inner state… what if that state isn’t really you? Many live from fear or old roles. Real change begins the moment you notice the mask and shift your inner state.

I found $23,000 in cash taped under my landlord’s broken washing machine. He died last week. Now his daughter is clearing out the building, telling everyone to make sure everything is “disposed of properly.” She has no idea it exists. No note. No explanation. Just money… hidden like it was never meant to be found. And now I’m stuck with a question no one prepares you for: What do you do with something that technically isn’t yours… but no one else even knows is missing?

90% of Jews support Zionism. But we must form our opinion of the Jewish community ONLY by the remaining 10%. We must completely ignore the 90% majority. 90% of our analysis and conclusions about the Jewish people must come from this 10% only. "Democracy" is good - except when it is applied to the Jewish community. The empire and its propagandists will generalize about literally *every* single community on the planet, but you cannot generalize about Jews. Everyone can generalize about everyone else. "Indians" are this, "Chinese" are that, "Muslims" are like this, "Arabs" are like that, "Iranians" want this, "Lebanese" want that...that's all justified. All of these people are monoliths. It's only JEWS that are not a monolith.

“I am not agnostic. I am an atheist. I don't think there is no God I know there's no God the same way I know many other laws in the universe. I know there's no God and I know most of the world knows that as well. They just won't admit it because there's another thing they know. They know they're going to die and it freaks them out. So, most people don't have the courage to admit there's no God and they know it. They feel it. They try to suppress it. And if you bring it up, they get angry because it freaks them out." - Adam Carolla

Disingenuous lies and propaganda. Has left out basic and key elements. 1. Iran has been occupying Lebanon through its proxy Hezbollah which has been brutalising, exploiting and sacrificing ordinary Lebanese for decades. 2. Hezbollah has attacked Israel, firing thousands of rockets at Israeli civilians, dragging Lebanon into ear and hostilities.3. Hezbollah also dragged Lebanon into the Syrian civil war, fighting at Iran's behest, taking part in Assad's slaughter of over 500,000 Syrians including thousands of Palestinians. 4. Before Iran, Lebanon was occupied by Syria. 5. At the same time the PLO established a state within a state in South Lebanon, oppressing ordinary Lebanese and using it as a terror base to attack Israel leading to the operation in 1978, and the war in 1982. FYI. Ordinary Lebanese including Shia welcomed Israeli troops as Liberators when they removed the PLO. 6.Hezbollah started the war in 2006 by attacking Israel, kidnapping and killing Israeli soldiers. 7. Hezbollah after October 7, Hezbollah attacked Israel with rockets displacing 60,000 plus Israelis and killing civilians. Israel responded. 8. The ceasefire in Lebanon demanded Hezbollah be disarmed by the Lebanese army. And that there be no Hezbollah activity south of the Litani. Neither happened. 9. Hezbollah attacked Israel at the behest of Iran once again, dragging Lebanon into the current conflict. 10. Israel's attacks are aimed solely at Hezbollah, not the Lebanese people. Ordinary Lebanese hate Hezbollah and want them gone. They want their country back. They want peaceful relations with Israel. 11. The shebba farms were Syrian territory when taken by Israel. Only when Israel left all of Lebanon in 2000 did Syria relinquish claim at the behest of Iran, to give Hezbollah an excuse to continue attacking Israel. 12. Hezbollah has never been Lebanese "resistance". It has never defended Lebanon, and acts solely on the interests of Iran. Just some of the points this propagandist left out.

Not enough people know this, but Joseph Goebbels had a PHD in history, was incredibly intelligent, and kept a nearly daily diary for 21 years… Over those 75k pages of writings, no mentions of a Holocaust, gas chambers, or a mass extermination operation…. Numerous discussions of expelling the jews from Germany however, because that was the actual goal.

I need Muslims to stop being defensive about the age of Aisha RA, whether she was 9 or 18, it does not change the truth of Islam. The people mocking aren’t doing it to learn nor are they searching for truth. We shouldn’t become apologetic in the face of criticism or hostility.

I'm happy for you, but Rome ain't "home" - Christ is. If any Church leads any man to Christ it has done the work of God. I have no doubt the the Roman Catholic Church has brought men to Christ, but they aren't the only ones doing God's work. We should be united in Christ, not divided by Churches.

I grew up southern Baptist. Spent 17 years of my life in church 3 times a week. Have read the Bible front to back more times than most pastors. Became an agnostic pagan for 20 odd years. Reopened the Bible when I was hired to cowrite a book on biblical masculinity (became a huge success). Became Catholic that same year. Reading the Bible and finally understanding it always leads home to Rome.
James Baird@james_d_baird

and when Catholics learn to read, they become Protestant! when i ask converts why they left Rome (100s at my church), the universal answer is: “I read the Bible”
