What happened to the real duty of care? 🤔 So, I walked into a renowned skin clinic with a 9-year-old who had a seemingly minor skin issue. The doctor takes one look and recommends an operation. Within minutes, the operating room is ready, my girl lying still on the table & the fees? eye watering. But my instinct whispered, not today. I told them to stop. We left. Later, we agreed to seek a second opinion. At a children’s clinic, the paed calmly examined her, prescribed some tablets, and said, “Give it 10 days.” And yes, the skin cleared completely! Meanwhile, the first clinic keeps calling to ask when we are going back for the surgery 😒 Lesson: Always seek a second, even third opinion. It might just save your life or that of a loved one.
