Given the speculation about the conclusion of the game, we would like to make clear that, prior to awarding the trophy, we were informed by the match referee that the match had ended and had not been abandoned. "Yesterday’s match showed off the very best of the Scottish game and the drama and excitement that it is rightly famed for. The eyes of the world were on Glasgow and the climax of the William Hill Premiership, with millions of viewers watching the match on Sky Sports and across the globe. "However, we utterly condemn the scenes which saw a number of Celtic supporters encroach onto the field of play. We await the report of our match delegate regarding any specific incidents that took place but, regardless, supporters entering the field of play in any circumstances is wholly unacceptable and puts those participating and working at a match at risk. We note that entering the pitch in England and Wales has been a criminal offence since 1991. We urge anyone with information about any alleged criminal activity to contact Police Scotland."

Dear @swfc fans… best fans in the whole wide world, It’s been a whole 2 weeks ( not 2 months ) since we kicked off our stewardship of this great club. Thanks for your outpouring of support / response to our release of season ticket sales. Credit to David Bruce & co for putting in the thought and designing a fan centric offering. Hopefully you’ve seen work began at Hillsborough, firstly around improving fan safety. Once completed, more to follow… much! Designing plan for training grounds, 1 ) in preparation for upcoming season; 2) with future in mind. Our mission is to give our 1st team and others in our playing family the best in facilities, for proper training and recovery. More to follow! David B & co very focused on building the squad to carry us through next season and beyond… this is our top #1 priority and will receive outsized attention. And even with restrictions placed on us for the next two seasons due to prior owners behavior, @michaelestorch, Tom and I have unwavering confidence in David and his football brain trust to make all of us @swfc fans proud. The precedent is very clear. A mass pitch invasion preventing the game from being completed in an automatic forfeit of the game. We all know this isn't going to be applied to them.

@mooseswfc It'll end up being a hefty fine and that's it. Kicking Southampton out basically voids the entire playoff series and causes a real headache. Restart the playoffs? Promote Millwall as 3rd place? Would end up in a courtroom

so what happens if Southampton get kicked out of playoffs cause then Wrexham and Derby have a case of being spied on and if so that potentially kicks Hull out the playoffs which then means Milwall can get involved
