The EU Commission should be disbanded in favor of an elected body and the EU President should be directly elected. The current system is rule by bureaucracy, not democracy.

The US has a $250 billion trade deficit with the European Union. The EU has been taking advantage of the goodwill of the United States since the end of WW2. A huge part of that is in pharmaceutical patents and IP rights. Europe gets vastly cheaper drug prices, with Americans paying 3x more for name-brand drugs that are still under patent protection. The EU just allows their companies to make cheap generics, forcing Americans to carry the R&D costs and pay for it all. Once again, the socialists in the EU expect the USA to pay for everything while they get a free ride. Using the hammer of tariffs, President Trump is forcing changes in US-EU trade talks.
