I am extremely disappointed with how Mercedes-Benz has handled this situation. I purchased a brand-new vehicle worth over $120,000, and just five days later the engine failed. I was told I would receive a Trade Assist, but instead I have two dealerships arguing over who can make more money from a defective vehicle. The representatives at Mercedes-Benz of Paramus and Mercedes-Benz Manhattan do not represent the standards and values I expected from Mercedes-Benz. Rather than helping a loyal customer, they have turned this into a financial opportunity. At this point, I simply want my money back and to move on. It is incredibly frustrating to watch people try to profit from someone else’s misfortune. Meanwhile, Paramus continues holding my vehicle while trying to bill Mercedes-Benz for an engine replacement. It feels like the only goal is to make more money instead of doing what is right for the customer. July 15, 2026: I am here again today. I came yesterday, and I was promised that my vehicle would be released to me today at 10:00 AM. Instead, I am back at the dealership with the police because they are still refusing to release my car. Mercedes-Benz Manhattan refuses to help me unless I first deliver the vehicle to them, while Mercedes-Benz of Paramus refuses to release it. I am caught in the middle of two dealerships that seem more interested in maximizing their profits than helping their customer. This entire experience has been humiliating and unacceptable. I am attaching photos from yesterday and today as proof of what is happening. This is not the level of service anyone should expect after buying a brand-new Mercedes-Benz. I expected Mercedes-Benz to stand behind its product and its customers, but instead I have been left to fight this battle alone.
