@dorb2sQ @investingwithac RA is a true up of your risk vs the general market. So if the RA cost estimate is higher (you have healthier risk pool vs the market) that means A) lower revenue B) higher MLR C) lower earnings.

@investingwithac @DanielUpson5 I think higher RA equals (should equal) lower expenses. Since higher RA means you had healthier pool. So it's not 1:1 but I'm not sure if MLR would take a hit or benefit from lower RA.

$OSCR Risk adjustment is hardest to estimate and expect… You have to factor your own risk scores and competitors…. By accruing at 20% for 2026… That factors in the WORST CASE that happened in 2025 at 18.5%… This opens up a possible can of worms for UPSIDE RISK 😏 RA affects both reported revenue PLUS their MLR denominator….

@dorb2sQ @investingwithac It’s a straight accrual and expected cost for the business, only time you know it’s real is when it’s squared up. From why I can tell, revenue is reported net of the RA. But 100% it’s included in the MLR & impacts the bottom line.

@investingwithac I took the membership built into guidance at 3 millions, and the drop of 20-30% of the growth. Eg 2m -> 3.4m = +1.4m members 3.4 -> 3m =-0.4m members 0.4m / 1.4m = 28.6% I might be wrong though!

$OSCR Important note… Oscar guided for 20-30% loss in members throughout 2026… Yesterday they mentioned it is on the “Lower end” “towards 20%” on the RJ Conference… If this is true. 2026 will be a huge beat and raise for top line and member growth. (Close to 20% decline from 3.4 million members, which is INSANE YoY growth)
