@jfitzgeraldMD Yep! I thankfully got connected to pelvic floor PT and had surgery. Things are improved but will likely require lifelong work. I’ve learned a lot from being a patient but there is still so much more we need to learn about endometriosis, pelvic floor dysfunction, and chronic pain

A story: Painful periods ➡️endometriosis ➡️OCPS➡️vaginal pH increase from lack of estrogen to feed the lactobacillus➡️UTI ➡️antibiotics➡️another UTI/yeast/BV➡️antibiotics➡️IC➡️levator spasm ➡️sensitization ➡️ dyspareunia ➡️depression➡️ more pain Break the cycle early.

@londyloo Have a set format so you don’t leave anything out. Some residencies try to standardize the format. From top to bottom mine was: stable/unstable> 1 liner with pmh, admission reason, notable events>any FYIs>to do> next of kin contact.

Any tips for giving good sign out? Would appreciate tips for giving sign out, writing good sign outs, and what makes a “bad” sign out. 🙌 Gonna work on improving my sign outs next week.
