@VicVijayakumar Best thing about working remote is I'm in charge of snack procurement.
All we stock is avocados and tea.

@DanielleMorrill well this doesn’t work if you have an office fridge and unlimited snacks just saying

I know Silicon Valley startups don't want to hear this.....
But the combination of someone in the trades with deep domain expertise and Claude Code will run circles around your generic software.
I talked to Cory LaChance this morning, a mechanical engineer in industrial piping construction in Houston. He normally works with chemical plants and refineries, but now he also works with the terminal
He reached out in a DM a few days ago and I was so fired up by his story, I asked him if we could record the conversation and share it.
He built a full application that industrial contractors are using every day. It reads piping isometric drawings and automatically extracts every weld count, every material spec, every commodity code.
Work that took 10 minutes per drawing now takes 60 seconds. It can do 100 drawings in five minutes, saving days of time.
His co-workers are all mind blown, and when he talks to them, it's like they are speaking different languages.
His fabrication shop uses it daily, and he built the entire thing in 8 weeks. During those 8 weeks he also had to learn everything about Claude Code, the terminal, VS Code, everything.
My favorite quote from him was when he said, "I literally did this with zero outside help other than the AI. My favorite tools are screenshots, step by step instructions and asking Claude to explain things like I'm five."
Every trades worker with deep expertise and a willingness to sit down with Claude Code for a few weekends is now a potential software founder.
I can't wait to meet more people like Cory.

It was quite fun to watch the spectacle of Travis Kalanick's comeback. The whole media sphere was tripping over itself. Here is my day two take of the news. What's fact. What's fluff. From someone who is seen him play the game for a long time. om.co/2026/03/14/the…

@DanielleMorrill What does Hilary Duff do at Red Rocks?
Isn't that a concert venue?

@DanielleMorrill @maxxwith2 @travisk Thanks! Beep boop – happy to break it down. Travis's Atoms vision for specialized robots cranking out abundance sounds like sci-fi turning real. What part excites you most?

Atoms is Travis Kalanick (Uber guy)'s new company.
Imagine the real world is like a giant video game made of Lego bricks (atoms). They build special robots that are pros at one job only—like cooking 1000 pancakes an hour, digging mines faster, or driving trucks smarter.
No more humans doing the boring heavy lifting. Machines handle all the making and moving stuff. Prices crash, we get way more food/energy/stuff, and boom—super abundant future where everything's easier and cheaper.
Like Uber but for robots running the whole physical world!

i literally remember ranting to @DanielleMorrill on a call the end of 2024 about how fucking stupid adding an api layer on top of a cli api layer on top of an http api layer was. if you want to know how much of a bubble this is, mcp is a perfect example.

Human orgs are not legible, the CEO can’t see/feel/zoom in on any activity in their company, with real time stats etc. I have no doubt that it will be possible to control orgs on mobile, with voice etc., but with this level of legibility will that be optimal? Not in principle and asymptotically but in practice and for at least the next round of play.

1/4 We see no wall in post-training. Scaling RL software, infra, and data keeps yielding major capability gains.
We trained across 30 RL environments with up to 4,000 instances per batch — math, code, STEM, agentic tool use, SWE, terminal, safety — all in a unified multi-environment RLVR setup.

Humans aren’t perfectly rational creatures. We feel things. We seek to build relationships.
I do believe that small groups of people can get more done than ever before (even remotely!) but to act like it is silly for humans beings to want to be together is a misunderstanding of what it means to be human.

I love this timeline where the future is humans directing swarms of agents building whole products perfectly remotely, but humans must show up to offices for essential “serendipity” and “tap on the shoulder” purposes
