I'm part of Gen Z and slightly younger than him but he's completely right, because the way our generation thinks goes like this: If you follow the system and work "hard" at your 9-5, you aren't rewarded. There is no future in it, because you are essentially a slave for the people at the top and the backbone of the system. You pay 35-50% in taxes and have 0 stake in society. Buying a house or apartment was every single generation's number 1 priority. Now? You're priced out of the housing market entirely, unless you want to become a slave to a bank for the rest of your life. Every day you're being destroyed by inflation while banks print money out of thin air. The cost of living is simply ridiculous, and you cannot save your way to a future, because the more money you hold in your bank, the less purchasing power you have over time. The "save money" approach that Boomers love to preach because they are so disconnected from reality, worked for previous generations because the times were completely different. This whole "eat less at a restaurant" is outdated bullshit. Even if you start your own company, the chances are high that you're already being crushed by the competition, or you get wrecked by taxes and imaginary 'laws' designed to prevent you from creating any wealth. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Intel and Apple have essentially monopolized the entire world. Your average person doesn't think "how do I start a business?", they think "how do I put money into their stock or this crypto?" because the only way to multiply your money is to join the winning team rather than try to build one. There are exceptions of course; plenty of people still succeed doing their own thing, but I'm talking about the average person here. Bottom line is, capitalism has gotten out of control. I won't even get to market manipulation, healthcare scandals, DEI, mass illegal immigration and using wars to launder money, then having the public to pay the price while the rich get richer. So you're probably wondering, what does my generation do? > Some slave themselves to the banks by following the old system which has priced them out from living, completely dead on the inside, hating every day of their lives and don't know any better. > Some start their own businesses and look for any avenue outside the system (typically online), because the system caps you in the real world based on how far you can scale. > Some check out entirely, they work a basic job but spend every paycheck down to zero; travel, buy whatever they want, go outside, and enjoy life as much as possible because there is no future worth saving for. The one thing all three of these groups have in common is that they all want to see the system burn to the ground because these politicians are so good at talking, yet nothing ever gets done. They constantly abuse people as much as they can. It used to work for a while, but not anymore, which is why people around the world have lost faith in every single government. Best advice I can give anybody is to avoid governments as much as possible. Avoid putting yourself in debt. Avoid their propaganda. Operate outside of the system by starting your own thing, the internet is your best friend here, understand that most 'rules' aren't real, and stay away from anything they tell you is 'good' for you.
Wifi Money Plant@WifiMoneyPlant

An entire generation under the age of 30 is coming to realization that having a family and home will never be within the grasp of reality for them Society is not ready for the consequences of this. A generation with no stake in the system would rather watch it burn

This is how all women in power are when push comes to shove. They just don’t have the temperament to deal with the pressures that come with holding power. It’s genetic. Btw, this was all common sense to our ancestors.
Breanna Morello@BreannaMorello

Justice Amy Comey Barrett is discussing all the threats she’s facing. It’s sad and shouldn’t happen, but this shouldn’t be an excuse to cave. Her rulings have been out of character. If these threats are an issue for her family, she should step down now.

@Danizeh You’re directionally correct but the system mostly worked until 2022+. The post Covid decay of most systems is what you’re really talking about here. Also you’re better off staying in a 0 tax state than going to Dubai. As a USA citizen you’re taxed regardless.

The world is truly a funny place. The more I observe it, the angrier I get, because from the day you're born, you're fed lies. You'll either realize this one day and reprogram your brain, or you're just doomed for life. Go to college → student debt → compete with DEI → hope you get a job → get a job → 9-5er for life where you make somebody else rich → don't question it → shit or mid salary → get a mortgage → pay it off until you're 60+ → your entire paycheck goes to bills → you still own nothing → you still have no freedom. This is the path of 99% of people, and they don't even question it. I'd like to believe our generation is more aware than previous ones; however, we have retarded people too. And the funniest thing about all of this is that even when you tell them about it, they still try to defend it or they get petty, either because they don't know any better or because they want other people to be just as miserable as they are. Humans are greedy and petty by default. If you believe swimming in debt and working the same job you hate every day for the rest of your life is somehow "happiness," or how life should be like, then you're fucking retarded. You go outside and see these nice supercars or houses, and you simply can't ever own any of them. How could you? Your salary barely gets you by. Even if you were to save $1k a month, you still couldn't afford any of it. So what's the plan? More loans? A second job? You still can't get it, and if you tried to buy one, you don't own it anyway because the bank does. Whenever I see these geeks online saying, "Oh, I bought a house," it always makes me laugh because you didn't BUY the house, you took out a MORTGAGE to HAVE the house. They want to sound cool on social media to their other normie friends but in reality they're all losers participating in the scam. You're paying the bank for the rest of your life because that's how the system is designed to be like. Only the BOOMERS actually bought houses because they could get one for $30K on a single income by the time they were 30 years old. Seriously, if you're a boomer and somehow failed in life, you must be a special level of retard because you were playing on amateur difficulty and had every single advantage. The funniest part about the economy is that in several countries in Western Europe (and probably the same in many US states), if you try to find a way out of this 9-5 shithole, typically by starting your own business, using AI, trading crypto etc; you most likely will get wrecked by laws and regulations that prevent you from making a lot of money. It doesn't need to 'make sense', they only need to put it into writing in a book and there you go. Most 'rules' aren't even real. One way or another they'll make sure you either pay more in taxes than you would with a 9-5 or they'll make it hard / impossible for you to run your business. On top of that, you're fighting against social media indoctrination, where people think Western European countries are "good places to live" because they read some "studies" from other retarded normies, not acknowledging the fact that nobody is truly "rich" except the country itself because everybody is a tax slave funding the system, and people are more miserable than ever before. So no matter what you do, you're screwed unless you inherit something, or you accept the fact that you will 'live life' when you're old (60+) and need Viagra to get your dick up, or take risks when you're young and possibly take your business outside the West to places with lower taxes (Dubai, Eastern Europe, Singapore, etc.). Even when you say this, you've got so many petty normies in the West shitting on people who leave to pay less in taxes. But if they had the same opportunity or understood how the economy works, they'd do the exact same thing in a heartbeat. They hate seeing people finding ways out because it makes them feel like failures. Broke people are 100x worse than rich people. Yes, people who go to Dubai primarily do it for the 0% tax benefit. There is no "culture" in Dubai, and I agree with you on that, but who cares about "culture" when the culture in the West is practically nonexistent anymore anyway? If you still think taxes in the West are spent to "better society," then you need to get your brain checked. You average person doesn't even understand the tax code or where taxes even go. The entire West is basically kings and peasants; slavery, essentially. Top % of people live a whole different life, the rest are just losers conditioned that it's fine to be one. If you believe slavery went away, you need to open your eyes because it's still the same dynamic, just modernized through fiat currency. Which brings me back to my main point: I truly don't understand how people can live like this. How does it not bother you? But then again, maybe people deserve to be miserable, and the elites understand this on a level that we can't comprehend. Why change a system that gives them freedom while they have peasants doing the dirty work? That's why they're thriving on private jets, eating lobster, living in mansions, driving nice cars, have no loans and are paying 0% taxes for the most part, while the peasants pay taxes, own nothing, have no freedom, check in to trash jobs, conditioned to 'smile' or they're a 'bad person', all in order to keep society running. Your average person will worship politicians because they somehow believe democracy is real or whatever they're saying on there matters and that they will somehow magically 'better society' if they voted for X or Y, but please name me one politician that made your life better? Give the average person some TV shows, politics, sports games, video games, alcohol, and porn, and he won't care about any of this. He'll live a life full of mediocrity because that's what his brain is designed to do, and he has accepted it because it's so deeply integrated into society that it's truly a masterpiece by the elites and the boomers.
Specter@DemonFramed

I have the utmost respect for the unemployed Zoomer. Instead of clocking into the 9 to 5 plantation, they’re either sports betting, learning AI, living off rich parents, or basically doing anything other than being a 9 to 5 slave. Those are the true winners.

The reason Gen Z doesn't drink but does gamble is that gambling is one of the many ways people try to escape the 9-5 rat race. The same applies to a lot of other business models and industries: AI, crypto, startups, content creation, social media, e-commerce, etc. Some are better than others and have higher probabilities, but the psychology behind it remains the same. Half of it is for the love of the game; the other half is about becoming financially successful to the point where you don't have to spend your life hating your existence. It's a "get rich or die trying" mentality. Smart? Depends what you pick and who you are. Even though 98% will not make it and perhaps 2% will, they'd rather take that chance than play it "safe" in a 9-5 dogshit life where you have to play gimmicks to pass by, listen to retards all day that tell you that you should smile when your soul is screaming for help on the inside and still not be able to buy anything significant. Boomers and other retards cannot comprehend this logic because they're conditioned to believe that working your entire life just to own nothing is how you're supposed to be living, meanwhile all of these boomers bought houses for $30K by 30 years old with no loans. Half of 30 year olds today live home with their parents and the other half that either live alone or with a friend / girlfriend have barely any money left after paying all their bills and still own no house outright unless they put themselves in debt until the day they die. You're conditioned to spend your best years 'grinding' just to 'live life' when you're 60+ years old and your body barely functions then eventually you're dead. Congratulations you're a retard that bought into the psyop.
Aporia@aporia9n

A fair correction to this is that young people didn’t simply lose the ability to commit. Most institutions stopped committing to them first. Employers demand loyalty while openly paying more for external hires and reserving the right to cut you during the next restructuring. Jobs offer less security, fewer pensions and increasingly little guarantee that ten years of sacrifice will produce anything beyond ten years of experience. So people keep one foot outside the door. They build side incomes, change jobs, rent indefinitely and avoid attaching too much of their identity to any one company, city or path. We created an economy where every institution treats the individual as disposable, then started diagnosing the individual with commitment issues. Going all-in made sense when loyalty compounded. Now it often just increases the amount you can lose.

There is a big difference between how Spain and Argentina play football vs the rest of the teams. France rely on their attack because their star players are individually talented until they meet a well structured team and they struggle. Just in this game alone; Spanish players are hustling everywhere and playing for the badge. Argentina has the same playstyle and work ethic, and they play around Messi because he's their best player. It's very hard to defeat a team that pours their heart into every possession, and leaves it all on the pitch. England are going to need more than Jude to beat Argentina tomorrow.

"Because what exactly is the traditional route offering now? Sell your soul for 10–15 years, survive office politics and sacrifice your 20s just to save $100–200k, only to still struggle to buy a house and remain nowhere near the lifestyle you were told the grind would eventually unlock." Well said, this is a great tweet, the moment you understand that the entire 9-5 garbage is a scam is the day where you will feel a mix of; going insane, feeling free and also looking for other alternatives by taking an infinite amount of risks. As long as you have a roof over your head, the upside is unlimited. There is no reward in playing it 'safe' anymore, that world is now gone.
Aporia@aporia9n

As a result gen-z are increasingly choosing lottery tickets over the traditional 9-5 route. Startups, crypto, creator, trading, AI wrappers, whatever gives them a tiny chance of escaping the normal income curve. Because what exactly is the traditional route offering now? Sell your soul for 10–15 years, survive office politics and sacrifice your 20s just to save $100–200k, only to still struggle to buy a house and remain nowhere near the lifestyle you were told the grind would eventually unlock. Meanwhile the internet shows you people your age making life-changing money from one startup, one token, one trade or one viral account. Most will fail and half the winners online are probably fake, but psychologically that barely matters. Once the respectable path promises guaranteed sacrifice for increasingly mediocre upside, variance starts to look rational. Especially when in most Western countries, the welfare state effectively protects your downside, while the upside from one hit remains private and uncapped. When the safe path no longer buys a safe life, gambling stops looking stupid.
