Enough with Iran’s lies!!! For years, they claimed that their missiles were "for defensive purposes" only. They gave assurances that “their missiles couldn’t go further than 2,000 km”. Today, the truth is clear: everything the Iranian regime said about its nuclear weapons and missile production capabilities was a lie. Their missiles are already threatening most European countries.

Last week, the Security Council voted to condemn Iran. The resolution was passed by a majority of 13 council members, and cosponsored by 135 additional countries. Now Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is trying to bolster ties with the UN and promote the idea of sanctions against Israel and the US. Mr. Araghchi, the only sanctions that should be on the table are sanctions against the regime you represent.

Mr. Fletcher, the UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, @UNReliefChief, continues to incite against Israel. Yesterday at the Security Council, he called on Israel and Iran to “stop fighting their wars in Lebanon.” Mr. Fletcher, this is an appalling and outrageous statement. Your call, which equates Israel with Iran, is like comparing the British Royal Air Force to the Nazi army in World War II. While Nazi planes attacked London every night, striking the civilian population, no one, rightly, thought to criticize the actions of the RAF. We are targeting Hezbollah, which operates from Lebanon and launches hundreds of rockets at Israeli communities. The same determination shown by the brave British pilots who did not falter against the brutal Nazi enemy exists today in Israeli pilots in their fight against Hezbollah attacks. What is most egregious here is that, although you are supposed to deal with humanitarian issues, you choose instead to engage in politics and propaganda against the State of Israel.

Iran's representative to the UN is trying to sell false stories that no one is buying anymore. Mr. Iravani, instead of blaming Israel and the US, you and the regime you represent should look in the mirror.

The attack on the synagogue in Michigan is a chilling reminder that antisemitism is not confined to the past - it is happening here and now! Whoever attacks a Jewish institution is not only attacking one community, but also the values of freedom and tolerance that define the free world. We must not remain silent in the face of such hatred.

In my address to the Security Council, I asked the ambassadors to imagine for a moment that they were traveling with their family in a car and heard sirens, and they had 30 seconds to find shelter. This is what happens to the citizens of northern Israel when Hezbollah launches missiles from southern Lebanon. Lebanon needs to decide who controls its country, whether it is the Lebanese government, or the terrorist organization Hezbollah, which is driven by the ayatollah regime in Tehran.

The UN Security Council has passed the Gulf States' resolution against Iran. Iran is firing on the countries of the region out of desperation, because it understands that the world has already seen its true face. The regime in Tehran is trying to export terror and destruction, but even the Security Council is running out of patience with dangerous Iranian aggression.
