@Truthseeke27768 @finn_onpolitics Either they’re genuinely brainwashed beyond belief, or they’re being paid a lot of money
English

@finn_onpolitics Wow supporting more of this. Are you mentally ill?
You need to go learn the true Labour history.
It truly is the stuff of nightmares

English

@finn_onpolitics Imagine finding out a political party covered up child rapes for votes, and still thinking “yeah that’s the party for me. I’ll go canvassing for them”
Not to mention the other policies they left out of their manifesto which have gone down like a cup of cold sick… why Finn?
English

@rdg_elliott @MatthewTorbitt @tomhfh You. You are the facist. You are the person who dehumanises and excludes others fo wrong think. You are everything you accuse others of 😊
English

Interesting: Labour canvasser picking up some Restore Britain voters, who they hope will split the Reform vote - and some Reform voters now 50:50 due to Burnham’s candidacy.

@Trev44_england @NDIronsMP They really treat us like thickos don’t they
English

@NDIronsMP So everything is still getting 2.8% more expensive, while growth is 0.3%.
Unless growth is higher than inflation everyone is still getting poorer.
English

Come on guys, now is not the time to be focusing on this when we could be talking about other things.
Politics UK@PolitlcsUK
🚨 BREAKING: Inflation fell to 2.8% in April, down from 3.3% in March
English

Remind us why we need to get rid of the PM?

@MatthewTorbitt @tomhfh You have restore friends? I’d reevaluate whether you want those people in your life.
English

@tomhfh I’m fairly certain they will go from some fairly online thing to having a say in Reform strong areas and costing them seats at the GE. Anecdotally all my more right wing friends have swapped Reform for Restore and all said Reform accepting Zahawi etc was their tipping point.
English

@Cal_vin_R My gut feeling is Burnham will get walked over trying to please everyone. He may have to pivot towards authoritarianism like Starmer just to hold the country together which will lead to voters feeling conned again. Burnham is maybe 10 years too late at being PM
English

@DannyMU20 This current incarnation of the Labour party has failed, yes; there’s no doubt about it. And I completely get why you and others feel sold out, you’re right to say we don’t pay our politicians for hope, but it’s nice to be fighting for something I can believe in again.
English

@georgebwtowl “The crushing results has made me see it was the right decision to return”
… what? … the crushing results prove your decision to leave was the right decision obvs 🤣
English

@Cal_vin_R We’re not paying our politicians for hope. We’re paying them to keep us safe, to provide opportunities, to maintain the social contract.
Labour have failed, and many of us feel sold out.
English

@KarlTurnerMP @UKLabour @AndyBurnhamGM We will not forget the policies Labour pushed through that were NOT in their manifesto

English

Excellent choice for Makerfield for the country and for @UKLabour. Can’t wait to be up there helping @AndyBurnhamGM win for all of us. Thanks for stepping up my mate.
The Labour Party@UKLabour
Congratulations to @AndyBurnhamGM - Labour’s candidate for Makerfield.
English

Large volunteer turnout in #Makerfield for @reform_uk today. So heartening to see so many people trying to make a positive difference to their communities and country.

English

@AndyBurnhamGM These proud working-class communities in Makerfield have been labelled far right racist bigots by your government for the past 2 years.
Our voices have been ignored. We are gaslit daily by our own government and the media to perversely portray us as the enemy. Why?
English

I am proud and humbled to have been selected as Labour’s candidate for Makerfield.
These proud working-class communities represent the very best values of our country and they deserve so much better. It would be my honour to work for them every day, if elected as their MP, to achieve that.
Many people here feel Westminster isn’t working for them and they are right. I am standing to change that and get the voice of these communities heard loud and clear.
I am glad that this by-election has finally put the places that make up the Makerfield constituency into the national spotlight. They have been neglected by national politics for too long. It is a good thing that all political parties are now on the hook to tell the voters here what they are going to do for them.
More than anything, people need life to be more affordable again. As Mayor, I have brought in changes which are helping, such as the £2 fare cap, free bus travel for our 16-18 year-olds and removing the 9.30am restriction from older and disabled people’s bus passes. But there is only so much I can do from Greater Manchester. If elected, I will have a relentless focus on reducing people’s everyday costs and bills and well as securing the investment these communities need.
I have been an elected representative in Greater Manchester for 25 years. Throughout that time, I have fought for the people of the North West of England on so many fronts. I am now ready to bring the whole weight of that experience to fighting for the communities of the Makerfield constituency and would be privileged to be given that opportunity.

@MayuranSenthil @reformparty_uk Restore will just undo the ILR. Farage will make them MP’s
English

No one is saying @reformparty_uk owns the right wing vote.
People are conflating a moral argument with a pragmatic one.
As a restore member are you happy facilitating the left’s agenda? Are you happy that you could be sending a man into No.10 who could cause the Boriswave to get settled status?
Obviously not. So in truth you are in contraction with yourself.
If you want to choose the moral argument of ‘let the people decide’ that is fine but then you will have no ground to push back when Burnham gives hundreds of thousands ILR.
Orla Minihane@orlaminihane
Reform DO NOT OWN the right wing vote - this is so utterly tedious! The people will decide. It’s called DEMOCRACY!!!!!! @RestoreBritain_
English

@JohnMusumeci7 Reform is the left masquerading as right to contain any true nationalist movement. Don’t be fooled, John
English

We’ve all got to take a breath and look at the bigger picture.
Right now the right is tearing chunks out of itself while the left quietly walks toward power. That cannot happen. Not now. Not with everything at stake.
Common sense tells me this: it’s simply too late for Rupert to build the national infrastructure needed to govern. Reform already has it. They’re established, organised, and high in the polls.
So let’s be practical. Get behind Reform now. If they don’t deliver, we hold them to account and make a change later — and by then Rupert may well have the structure in place to step up. That’s how grown‑up politics works.
But please… stop the infighting. Stop the tribalism. Stop the fantasy football politics.
We should be grateful we even have choices on the right — but those choices mean nothing if we split the vote and hand power to Labour, the Lib Dems, or the Greens.
None of us want that.
None of us want another five years of decline.
None of us want to watch our country slide further.
Together we can stop it.
Together we can win.
Together we can protect the United Kingdom we love.
Use your logic. Use your head. Come together.
God bless you all, and God bless the United Kingdom.
