@s1nicki Everytime I turn on native HDR on games it just greys out my screen as well. If you use reshade and use stuff like "Blooming HDR" or "Fake HDR" it reproduces it nicely. I just saw a comment saying you're not on PC though so that's not available to you. Sorry!

@imbibleman @iv_sal1 Man, as a fan of all the games I couldn't give a fart out of edwards tight pirate butthole what weapons he uses, the blades will be used for their uses and swords for sword fighting. I'm sure the new finishers are gonna look sick and all these complainers need to lock in.

@DannyMantonoli @iv_sal1 The point is sure it's an optional feature but it was heavily advertised in the og games and stripping that freedom away from a player who has played the games for 19 years is just a weird design choice.

@imbibleman @iv_sal1 This hammers home my point that they are used for FINISHING people. Not good for blade on blade combat. The gameplay use of them is good for the fantasy yes, but does not make too much sense for the story. I am NOT saying people DONT use them. I'm saying for OPEN combat.

@imbibleman @iv_sal1 Yes, it could be cool to have them. Lots of people are mentioning that it's a deal breaker or evil that you can't. I bet the finishers are going to be amazingly stylish. It literally says every time you guard break it will use the blades. If anything now you use both.

@imbibleman @iv_sal1 It IS a main part of the games. Man I am saying it is NOT a big part of OPEN COMBAT. Why can y'all not understand this. The blades are THIN. They are NOT good for combat. Just for quick finishers and kills, not for SWORD FIGHTING.

@imbibleman @iv_sal1 AND Connor would use an Axe with his in its dagger mode. The hidden blades may have been usable gameplay wise, yes, but other than the occasional finisher or normal assassinations, the hidden blades are a poor choice for an open combat weapon.

@imbibleman @iv_sal1 Yes, I've played all of them. Every single time assassins use them for Assassinating then disappear or they pull out a sword after getting a kill with them. Again, Ezio, THEE EZIO had his broken in combat. Exception was Connor for his turned into a dagger. They are thin blades.

@imbibleman @iv_sal1 I understand the enjoyment of using them, I used them myself personally a lot in AC3, but it really isn't a deal breaker for I don't see why it's such a big deal. Lore wise, it doesn't make much sense. The blades are still in the game, will probably have fresh finishers. 🤷

@iv_sal1 @DannyMantonoli For me personally I get what you're saying but they might adjust it due to player feedback. At least they didn't completely take it out. I'm playing all of the older games and it's definitely nice to use them. In my opinion it's crucial to the series/freedom.

@imbibleman @iv_sal1 Being able to use the Hidden Blade in combat is absolutely not what makes assassins different from others. Again, the hidden blades will still be used for FINISHERS and ASSASSINATIONS. Just not available for open combat as a primary. Even EZIO had a hidden blade broken in combat.

@DannyMantonoli @iv_sal1 Believe it or not some people actually did do hidden blade only runs. Having the hidden blade and being able to use it freely is part of what it means to be an assassin in the game. That's what makes the assassins different than others.

@TheHiddenOneAC It's has a sick takedown system? It wouldn't make sense in lore for Edward to use the hidden blades in open combat. Even Ezio had a hidden blade broken in open combat and he isn't trained in using them AT all. He's only trained in using a Cutlass.

No hidden blade combat in Black Flag Resynced is a very huge letdown ngl.
If you are trying to stay as faithful to the original game, something this important must be there. I understand cutting smaller things here and there or changing a few elements, but this isn't small. So many of us have done hidden blade only runs. It's a big part of the OG game.

@assassinsbureau Story wise, lore wise it wouldn't make sense for Edward to choose fighting in open combat with two tiny wrist knives he is not skilled with. Gameplay wise, sure it was cool sometimes. But it is NOT this deep. I'm sure they'll have some finishers with them anyways. Buncha babies.

@assassinsbureau Edward was not trained in the hidden Blade as the other assassins that use it in open combat at the point of AC4. Altaiir couldn't block with the hidden blades, Ezio lost a hidden blade in combat trying to parry, Edward is EXPERIENCED with dual Cutlass anyways. It's not that deep

I see some people bothered by the gameplay of AC Black Flag Resynced because we won't have the hidden blade combat feature. I confess that it doesn't bother me and I even think it's right not to use it. At that time, Edward wasn't an Assassin.What is your opinion?

@HunterTutore @0x_Psyop I mean not really? It's one of their most popular games and was made 2 generations ago. Is the og still good? Yes. Am I going to be upset they're adding 6 hours worth of content and story to experience and a nice face lift on this amazing game? Hell nah! It's a great game!

You can still assassinate with the hidden blades as they are meant to be used. Doesn't make sense in the story / lore either. Edward Kenway is NOT trained with hidden blades in this game.
