I hadn’t been to Paris in over a decade and I am just so impressed with this city right now. Every single cafe is filled with people, streets are so clean, haven’t seen a single empty storefront, people have been SO nice. I feel so safe walking at night. 10/10.

Do people waste 15% of their money? Yes. Should people be spending $8 for coffee or $13 for matcha or $22 for an erewhon smoothie? NO!
But also, maybe coffee should go back to being $3 and sandwiches should go back to the $5 Footlong instead of $13.
THEN we could have food AND housing instead of just ONE.

@CindyBegel Yes 100%. For every rsvp, only 1/3 show up. Its been like that for a long time but def worse since covid. It's time, traffic, parking, social battery, if theres a good enuf reason to go or just obligation, plus many events happening & will decide last minute which to go to.

Is it a sign of the times not to show up any more? I've attended big events, fantastic really -- & few people show. They RSVP yes & ghost it. Some blame the pandemic or their love affairs w/ their phones. Some do this w/ their writing groups. You notice this behavior? What's up?

@WzWritaObscura Hey man, dont do that. First, the turnaround on written notes is about 3-4 weeks and as stated, it's as soon as possible. I offer notes calls and strongly suggest them because the turnaround is much faster. I am about halfway done tho and will get em back asap. Thx.
