Last word on Southampton. I haven’t seen a single Southampton fan say they’re embarrassed by the clubs behaviour. That to me says everything about the club. As fans, we can’t control what happens from the inside, but the fans are the voice. Your voice is loud and clear. You condone cheating (spying, diving to try and con the ref, ballboy shithousery (cheating again) and the mocking of someone’s speech impediment). Zero remorse. All I’m seeing is “proud”. As a fanbase you should be absolutely ashamed of your club. Absolutely ashamed. As a Southampton fan, I can appreciate the emotion the manager has shown here — at least it demonstrates that he genuinely cares. I think Saints will have to accept whatever punishment is handed down, and as supporters we’ll need to do the same. I don’t believe the club gained any major advantage, but if the allegations are proven to be true, then it’s still wrong. We certainly wouldn’t be happy if another club did it to us. I understand why the Boro fans are frustrated, although their club hasn’t always been clean in the past either — I remember the situation in 1997 when they didn't fulfil a fixture because of a virus. Anyway, for now, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens and deal with it accordingly.
