I'll say it again: The best programs, for the most part, don't HAVE to recruit. The best players want to play for them.
"Recruiting" has become the catch all - like "media" - for everyone's displeasure about a world where kids don't all play in the same schools grades 1-12.

@kyhighs Why is it okay to recruit kids from out of district or state. Then give parents jobs, housing, and food allowances? Bigger counties Lexington and Lou just have such a bigger population to pull from to a school. Neighborhood schools aren’t a thing in lou go were wanted

@kyhighs Fine line between “recruiting” and “tradition”
Small, rural schools that develop kids through youth leagues and local travel teams but continue to lose athletes to those “tradition” schools one they get to high school have a totally different viewpoint on this topic.

The @KHSAA Board has OK’d multiplying the boys enrollment for football and total enrollment for track/XC by a factor of 1.35 vs 1 for its other schools for the purpose of classification in those sports. This means some private schools could bump up a class next cycle 2027-28

This isnt an opinion, it’s a fact. If the Budget that the House passed last night is approved in the Senate, it will cripple rural hospitals and many of them will close
I hope it gets changed in the Senate bc the first hospitals that will get crushed are in Eastern Kentucky
