@NeelBParekh If your new life and how much time and energy it costs shocks you, remember that it's just a phase. With every day that passes, tiny human will depend less on you. Try to enjoy it while it lasts, even though at times it won't be fun. Highs get higher, lows get lower.

First-time dad here. Baby is due in a couple weeks. Any pro tips to survive the first month with a newborn?

@MattReinholz Excellent idea, will try as well! Here in NL it is pretty customary to serve breakfast on bed, while most mom's hate it because of the mess it leaves behind.

Ich habe heute Morgen ein wenig über diese Tradition gelesen und finde es faszinierend, wie unterschiedlich dieser Tag weltweit gefeiert wird. Besonders spannend fand ich die Tradition in Mexiko, wo Söhne Mariachi-Bands engagieren, die ihre Mutter im Morgengrauen mit "Las Mañanitas" wecken. Ich stelle es mir toll vor, um 5 Uhr morgens von einer ganzen Mariachi-Band im Wohnzimmer geweckt zu werden und überlege mir diese Tradition nächstes Jahr mal meinem Sohn vorzuschlagen. Mal schauen, was meine Frau dazu sagen wird. 😂

@A5hleyRich Hey Ashley. Looks like SpinupWp came a long way since I last checked. Will revisit! I'm pretty sure it can be used to manage WP sites while I run a couple of Symfony sites on the same VPS, correct?

What is everyone using to help manage their servers? Specifically looking for something that eases creating (native) isolated users & PHP-FPM pools. cPanel? Cloudpanel? Hestia CP? Enhance? So many options. Very new to this space.

@retlehs True that, was mostly thinking of paying after-tax dollars to do something that I, in theory, could do myself and is supposed to be good for me. Doesn't help that it's a very old and pretty wild (not cultivated) garden, so there's a lot of different stuff growing.

@dannyvankooten Not sure how much I believe the economic benefits, time is money, plus soil/nutrients/pesticides/etc all add up I’ve kept a food garden at a few of my houses just for fun, but for the past five years I’ve enjoyed planting native plants and trees instead

I always thought gardening is something I ought to be doing: Boomers all do it (and nag me about mine), supposed health benefits and the economics are very much in favor of doing it yourself. Yet after trying (and failing) to keep our garden (300m2, pretty big for Dutch city standards) in check for years now, I am still not sure whether I actually like doing it or if I should accept defeat and outsource maintenance. 😅

@CoenJacobs The way I see it, leaving them alone is threating them well? My issue is not knowing what to pull out, cut down, etc.

@dannyvankooten The irony of the parallel with computers is so ironic it becomes ironic in itself. Also yes, go hug your own trees and treat them well, boomer wannabe.

@harishchouhan OK but why does new product idea have to involve WP? Why can't I get product ideas using something else?

@dannyvankooten Just regular WP. The more you use it, the better you will understand the pain points of your customer. And occasionally you might get new product ideas :)

@levelsio I refused WBSO after a couple of years because I hated the paperwork and the fact that everyone is somehow supposedly eligible for it.

Worse than that though is you get the smartest and best people in your country not working on producing better products and services that can compete worldwide But instead they get really good at writing subsidy/grant applications to win free money and become dependent on it

@madsmadsdk I spotted the mate in 3 first, Rxe2. Went to check out the other comments and then was puzzled. "What's wrong with Rxe2?". Turns out there is a slightly faster way.

@preshit @runcloud Thx Preshit! Came across that one. From a team in Malaysia. Only scrolled through their site and was a bit put off that their journey on the about page stops in 2018, but looking at their blog now I see there's lots of activity. 😅 Will check it out.

@MythThrazz I honestly can't think of any reason NOT to do this. Just put the logo's low enough on the shirt so they're not covered by said beard or a badge. 😅
