From Okada Rider to Drug Mule: NDLEA Nabs Man Who Excreted 100 Wraps of M£th After Uganda Trip A former commercial motorcyclist has been arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) after allegedly swallowing and later excreting 100 wraps of meth@mphetaminesmuggled from Uganda into Nigeria. The agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, disclosed the arrest in a statement shared on X on Sunday, revealing that the suspect was intercepted by NDLEA operatives at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Ikeja, Lagos, after arriving from Uganda. According to the agency, the arrest followed credible intelligence and surveillance, which led officers to place the suspect under observation. During the process, he excreted all 100 wraps of meth@mphetamine he had allegedly ingested before travelling. NDLEA said investigations showed the suspect had spent 15 years working as an okada rider in Lagos before allegedly joining a transnational drug trafficking syndicate in an attempt to improve his financial situation. Reacting to the development, the agency said the suspect’s quest for a quick financial breakthrough had ended in failure. “After 15 years of working as an okada rider in Lagos, this individual decided he needed to forcefully upgrade his social status by joining a transnational drug trafficking organisation,” the agency said. NDLEA added that the plan “ended in premium tears” after officers arrested him at the Lagos airport following the recovery of the 100 wraps of methamphetamine he allegedly ingested in Uganda.
