They want to be paid to carry their own husband’s child, while conveniently forgetting that procreation is a shared responsibility between husband and wife. Yes, childbirth is painful. Yes, the body changes. But turning it into a business deal removes the beauty and purpose of motherhood. Marriage and children were never designed to be a “pay me first” arrangement. If a woman sees carrying her husband’s child as a burden that requires compensation, then something is fundamentally wrong with her understanding of family.
