What's more interesting is how his use changed last year after Hill's injury, when Mike McDaniel said the Dolphins began viewing Waddle more as a WR1.
Waddle averaged 15.4 YPC in the 12 games he played last season without Hill. And his ADOT increased from 9.0 in the four games with Hill early last year to 16.7 thereafter. Waddle's ADT had previously been 7. yards (2021, without Hill), 12.7 (2022), 10.7 and 9.8.
One interesting stat is that last year, Waddle averaged 15.4 yards per reception after Waddle's injury, but 3.7 yards after the catch. Mike McDaniel said the Dolphins began viewing him as a WR1.
In the four games with Hill last season, Waddle's ADOT was 9.0 yards. In the games after that, it was 16.7.
Food for thought when pondering how the Broncos will utilize Waddle.

@CecilLammey @DenSports1043 Pittman was way better value tho in my opinion. I think a 1st is correct for Waddle. Not sure about the 3rd. The 4th swap is an upgrade. But Production wise they are both very comparable throughout the career. And Indy was a worse offense in general over that time frame.
