@Daquiver1 Right right i get what you mean. I wont even be surprised if no designer was on this project. Wont be surprised one bit.

@uxderrick Alright fair enough. I get you now. So you were coming from the “things” the designer can control. I was looking at it from the architectural changes a company would have to make to enable a good UX. Fairs.

Things like touch targets, information hierarchy, microcopy, spacing, and visual feedback are UX problems. They directly affect whether users succeed at their tasks and how they feel while doing it. In practice, when these are bad, the fix will often come from the same person designing the interface not a separate ux person. The overlap is bigger than the separation thats why I said they are not mutually exclusive

Hmmm. Well alright I get you. But lemme know your thoughts on it from my POV. So with me UX and UI inform each other but they’re distinct enough to evaluate separately. If you have a bad UI? You get a designer. Bad UX? Get someone to fix your flows and architecture. Same product, different problems, different solutions. Conflating them makes it harder to diagnose what’s actually broken. But I get that a ui person can *be responsible for both*, but even with that if there’s a UX issue, he’d have to involve other stakeholders. So this shows different domains. So yeah.

UX and UI aren't separate things you can grade independently. A good interface is what actually delivers the experience. If someone sold you just a knife blade and said "it cuts things really well, just wrap your shirt around the blade to hold it," you wouldn't enjoy using it. The function is there, but the experience is terrible. A product simply working is the baseline. Enjoyment, trust, and emotional connection with teh brand are what turn something usable into something people actually like using. Just because people use a product when they have no better alternative doesn’t mean the UX is good.

Nita Summary. He starts by saying it's only for those providing services to government. Later contradicts himself and says private sector needs "some kind of certification" too. @TheDumbTechGuy asks him to clarify. He ignores the question?? Their official website says everyone. New document exists but they won't share it. Just "trust me, I've got your best interests at heart vibes." So what is the policy exactly?? Sighs.

@kbaahkusi @TheDumbTechGuy Brooo. Fairs. Game is game. He did well. But we all know what he’s doing. I’m willing to bet all I have that there’s no new document. They are just saving face.

Ah yo. 60 pesewas per delivery to iCOLMS-GH?? Say you do 100 deliveries a day. That’s GHS 60 gone daily, GHS 1,800 a month, just to the government. Before you pay a single rider. Before fuel. Before anything. And our delivery fee is GHS 3-5. Do the math?? Sighs. #iCOLMS
Kweku Tech@kwekutech

the NITA fees are not the only thing ghana's tech ecosystem needs to know about. there's a pattern forming. in march 2026, the government launched iCOLMS-GH. a mandatory platform that every courier and delivery company in ghana must plug into. A THREAD🧵

Bro Arsenal won the league, past week has been amazing, life was actually good ngl. Then I hear NITA wants GHS 10,000 application fee + GHS 7,000 annual renewal from @quiverfood . A startup we're still growing from the ground up. How????
Nii Commey@niicommey01

You are using Lorem Ipsum on your website, and you're trying to charge me 20k for "license"? A whole government website. Supposed ICT Authority. Scrap the whole organisation. What a flipping joke.

@niicommey01 @quiverfood With that one, every transaction. Like bro. Every transaction. And it’s from 1-3%, bro that’s a lot. And this is in addition to the application fee and the renewal fee. Greed oh.

So now if you want to be a mobile app developer in Ghana, you need to apply for it with NITA. Application fee? GHS 6,000. Annual renewal? GHS 5,000. Oh and you're not even guaranteed approval — they take up to 6 months to review 😂😂😂 Wow.
Tech In Twi@tech_twi

Like you need to pay 6,000 GHC as an application fee to become an app developer in Ghana and 5,000 GHC renewal every year. Heeeeeeeeey, these NDC people are becoming something else. Na Google Play Store and Apple App Store koraa chargi sen? Since I was born, I have never heard of something like this before.
