@abdullahayofel @LeonardoOkojie Except this is AI, it seems @ruffydfire is saying something different from what he tweeted immediately after the court judgement came out. I really think we need the opposition and they need to put themselves in a good party as soon as possible.

I think the only plan B should the ADC fails to sail through is civil unrest. Make the country ungovernable for Tinubu. Enough is enough.

@olaolu23188737 @jpattueyi Any leadership that is installed with chaos will only bring chaos to the land. Strategically putting a leader there is the only way. The right leader I mean not all this cankerworm that has caused our present issues.

@Daramolayo @jpattueyi Whatever needs to be done that'll give us the leadership we need, let the universe bring it to pass. Sometimes, there can't be peace when there's no war. As much as I crave for true leader for our great nation Nigeria, whatever needs to be done to have it should be done.

APC is reacting to the use of “Operation Wetie” by Seyi Makinde because deep down they know they are pushing Nigerians towards just that and they hate that Seyi Makinde is pointing it out. I will explain. “Operation Wetie” was a dark chapter in Nigeria’s history, particularly in Ibadan and the old Western Region in the 1960s. The phrase comes from Yoruba, “wẹ̀ tí e”, meaning “pour petrol on it.” And that’s exactly what happened. During a bitter political crisis involving the Action Group, factions loyal to Obafemi Awolowo and Samuel Ladoke Akintola clashed after disputed elections. What followed was mayhem: Homes burned Political opponents attacked Law and order broke down Violence became a political tool It got so bad that it helped trigger the 1966 Nigerian military coup, and Nigeria’s long detour into military rule. So why would Seyi reference “Operation Wetie” at the opposition summit? He is simply trying to remind the APC of what happens when: 1. People lose faith in electoral integrity 2. Political actors push systems to the breaking point 3. Institutions meant to be neutral are seen as compromised. History shows that when citizens begin to believe that outcomes are predetermined, tensions rise, and bad actors can exploit that environment. Have you listened to how apc people brag online? They tell you the result has already been written. They ask you if you couldn't stop Bola when he wasn't president, how would you stop him now that he is president. They tell you that Bola is no Jonathan. There are growing concerns in some quarters about the independence of key institutions, including Independent National Electoral Commission. Allegations and rumors, like those surrounding the appointment of Amupitan, are too serious to be ignored. Yet Amupitan hasn't resigned. Institutions should be accountable to the people but INEC is not yielding and Bola is yet to way a word about it; reinforcing the belief that he intends to snatch it, grab it and run with it. Seyi is invoking “Operation Wetie” as a reminder of how quickly things can spiral when trust in the system collapses and Nigeria cannot afford a repeat of that era. If anything, this moment calls for transparency from leadership and vigilance from citizens. Bola still has a lot of time to do the right thing. He has 30 governors, he is incumbent so he can showcase why he should be reelected, then he should give the people a free and fair election then let the best man win. Othwrwise, history shows it’s very hard to control what comes next.

INCITING VIOLENCE - GOVERNOR MAKINDE, YOU ARE UNWORTHY OF THE OFFICE YOU OCCUPY While addressing a summit of opposition political parties in Ibadan, yesterday, Saturday, April 25, 2026, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state invoked the bloody history of “Operation Wetie” to incite Nigerians to violence over his baseless and senseless allegation of the country’s descent into a one party state. The All Progressives Congress (APC) categorically condemns Governor Makinde’s @seyimakinde incitement as reckless, and a clear and present threat to peace and national security. It is particularly disturbing for a sitting Governor who bears constitutional responsibility as the Chief Security Officer of his state to conjure up one of the darkest episodes of political violence in Nigeria’s history to threaten violence against the people and government of Nigeria. By his incitement to violence, Makinde has showed himself to be unworthy of the high office of Governor that he occupies.

@OvieborJude @jpattueyi Again words have consequences. And those words he altered worked negatively against the APC. And I am sure those words he altered then will still work against them come 2027. But for a Man like Seyi Makinde, a lot is expected form him.

We tracked the Sokoto Badagry Super-Highway from both ends this month, the Lagos axis and Sokoto axis. On the Lagos end, the project is currently within Ogun State, stretching from Diya Gate, OPIC Estate, Agbara to Iyana Idoye, Lusada. Sparse work was observed at Odugbe in Lusada, Ado Odo/Ota LGA. The project terminated at Phase 4, Atan with only one side of the road under construction by Hitech Construction Company Limited. At the Sokoto end in Illela LGA, work was ongoing, bush clearing, sand filling, and site preparation. On the section towards Katami, Silame LGA, Sokoto and in Kebbi State, some portions have been completed with concrete paving and solar lighting installed. Progress is uneven and slow. Now here is what has been committed on paper, FEC has approved contracts worth N2.36tn for the highway since 2024, (N947bn for Kebbi single carriageway in August 2024, N456bn for Sokoto 120km section in October 2024 flagoff and N961bn for Kebbi second carriageway for August 2025). Just 3 days ago, President @officialABAT sent a fresh request to the Senate for a $516.3m loan from Deutsche Bank, the largest single external injection into this project yet. But the Minister of Works, @realdaveumahi admitted in February 2026 that only N210.31bn, 9.7% of expected 2025 capital releases have actually been paid to contractors. Contractors across @FMWNIG projects are owed N2.2tn for advanced work. Commitments on paper. The total cost of this 1,068km highway alone is projected at over N6.5tn, borrowed money, at a time when Nigeria already spends substantial part of her total revenue servicing existing debt. We urgently call on the Federal Government of Nigeria and @nassnigeria to; - Properly scrutinize every new loan. - Release funds owed to contractors. - Publish quarterly disbursement reports for this highways. - Scrutinise the $516.3m Deutsche Bank loan terms transparently. Citizens deserve infrastructure and fiscal accountability, not one without the other. #Publicfundsmustforthegoodofthepeople #AskQuestions

Mali🇲🇱: Watch to the end. This is how terrorists are meant to be treated. Tell me why we don't see things like this out of Nigeria. Where are the live videos of Nigerian Air Force killing terrorists in real time? In Mali, killer terrorists are sent to hell with zero apologies. In Nigeria, the gates of heaven are opened unto terrorists.

This is the reason I believe Chelsea’s next manager or Head Coach has to be an elite, top-tier appointment, one of the best among the best. Firstly, before I make my case, let me be clear: I’m not oblivious, nor living in lala land, to the fact Chelsea’s current situation may not entice even a “rat” of a coach, let alone an “elephant” a truly elite manager. But I want to make my case by pointing to the club’s own statement when Liam Rosenior was sacked: “As the Club works to bring stability to the Head Coach position, we will undertake a process of self-reflection to make the right long-term appointment.” That, to me, does not sound like another experiment. It sounds like a mandate for an elite appointment — a proven, top-level manager who commands respect, authority and immediate belief. And you know what that would give the fans? Assurance. It would restore lost confidence in the owners. It would make the players believe again. And, most importantly, it would send a clear and LOUD message that the “model” or “structure” that has failed for four years and counting has been dealt a major blow — put aside and left in the past. No more ideology over football. No more experiments. It would signal a new beginning, a new morning at Chelsea. A return to seriousness, ambition and standards. And maybe, just maybe, the fans can sing again: “We’ve got our Chelsea back.” If that elite name happens to be someone like Luis Enrique, Hansi Flick or Zinedine Zidane; managers whose presence alone commands respect, then even better.

I just went through the comments and quotes on Oladepo Caleb Okugbenga's post. He credited NELFUND for supporting him in becoming the Best Graduating Student of LAUTECH, but the dishonesty in some replies is alarming. You can criticize the Tinubu government for many things, some of it valid, but when it comes to NELFUND, let us be honest. It is a lifesaver. I am a 500-level medical student at UI. I have been on NELFUND for three consecutive years. They recently paid my school fees and the fees of thousands of UI students this session. That is not a rumor. That is real. NELFUND currently supports students with full academic fee payment sent directly to the school and a monthly upkeep allowance of twenty thousand naira paid directly to the student. Now let me address the common lies people spread. Some say it is a loan, so it is not helpful. Yes, it is a loan, but it is interest-free. Tell me one loan app in Nigeria that gives you zero interest. Others say the repayment is a burden. But repayment only starts after you have graduated, finished NYSC, and found a job. If you are unemployed, you pay nothing. If you lose your job, the payments stop automatically. That is not a burden. That is safety. Some people claim NELFUND has no impact on students. That is simply false. I am an admin in a group helping students apply successfully. Many higher institutions and scholarship bodies now advise students to take advantage of this loan so they can use their own money for other needs that bring financial stability. Another lie is that the government made education expensive just to introduce the loan. Federal schools are still highly subsidized. We all know what our mates in private schools pay per session, millions of naira. Our fees, even after adjustments, are a fraction of that. Most of the people throwing shade at NELFUND are not even in school anymore. They have no idea how the scheme operates today. Let me be clear. I am not saying we should stop scrutinizing government spending. We absolutely should. But when a good initiative works, we must have the maturity to acknowledge it. NELFUND is keeping real students in school. That is a fact. Let us not allow dishonesty to rob others of this opportunity.
