The photos are bobbins, but great to get my first spring Osprey of the year, and even better as it was from a sun lounger in the garden! Probably roughly over the Douglas/Longton Marsh and heading into The Fylde - superb!

A good morning around Marshside. Highlights were a Merlin chasing a Starling, Snow Goose, Scaup from Faircloughs viewpoint and 30+ Twite close to Southport pier. Chuffed to get those in the bag. Tricky little buggers 😂

As hoped, the Whitefront (1w) had landed on the Brickcroft (site first), but unfortunately was spooked by Mute Swans before I could get any shots of it in the water. The camera struggled to get some flight shots in the low light, but you could just about ID it Canadas stayed put!

Couldn’t resist a visit up to Cockersands this afternoon - 55 Barnacle Geese, Tundra Bean Goose and an eye watering 138 Russian Whitefronts (Possibly the highest singular flock count in Lancashire. EVER!) @JoeWyersR wearing shorts clearly the way to go! @FyldeBirdClub
