🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 The U.S. Navy is assembling the largest mine-clearing force in decades and it's coming from the other side of the planet... Two Avenger-class minesweepers sailed out of Japan heading west. An Independence-class LCS left Singapore going the same direction. An Expeditionary Sea Base ship was tracked crossing the Indian Ocean. All converging on the same destination. The irony is painful. The Navy decommissioned its four Bahrain-based Avengers last year, replacing them with three newer ships that were then pulled out of the Gulf before the war started and sent to Southeast Asia. These wooden-hulled ships, designed specifically to avoid triggering magnetic mines, are the only vessels in the fleet built for this job. The Navy has four total. Two are now in transit. The scale of the problem: Iran mined the Strait haphazardly, lost track of some mines, and can't remove them even if it wanted to. Clearing them is slow, dangerous work that requires total force protection. A-10s, destroyers, and air cover just to keep minesweepers alive while they work. CENTCOM says underwater drones are joining the effort. Trump says mine clearing is underway. But the ships purpose-built for the mission are still days or weeks from arriving. @Yepmtnf Le 2000-9 reste encore bon pour de la guérilla aérienne ou pour du CAS Sachant que c'est une version améliorée avec nacelle de guerre électronique,scaalp, radar légèrement plus performant etcc en plus esthétiquement parlant il est beau ( je sais c'est pas un argument mais bon)
