@xpertfusion3 The IX Pillars were always a blast with friends trying to complete challenges that screwed each other over depending on the challenge, and Oracle I just really liked the design of those trials.
BO4 had such unique systems for the trials that made going for them that much better.
English

What is your favorite "challenge trial" system in Call of Duty Zombies?
‣ Origins Reward Chest
‣ Zetsubou No Shima Pillars
‣ Gorod Krovi Graves
‣ Revelations Boxes
‣ Zombies in Spaceland NEIL Challenges
‣ Rave in the Redwoods Camp Challenges
‣ Shaolin Shuffle Chi Ability Challenges
‣ IX Pillars
‣ Ancient Evil Oracle
‣ Tag Der Toten Hermit Totems
‣ Black Ops Cold War Trial Machine
‣ Black Ops 6 SAM Trials
‣ Black Ops 7 TEDD Tasks

@xpertfusion3 I thought I was the minority on this one, completely agreed here. I get what they’re trying to do I guess with the fog being harder to survive in but there’s honestly little to no reason to even explore said fog.
Or, in the words of Jason, the fog is indeed rolling in.
English

I think it's so frustrating how you get literally zero points from killing the fog zombies. You are already discouraged from being in the fog because it's hard to survive out there, I don't know why they had to go a step further by just making it pointless to ever be out there except for like one EE step lol
English

Modern Zombies maps are a little too linear...
Obviously having good flow is important, but maps nowadays aren't really made to be all that fun to explore. They are usually very simple and sometimes even overly symmetrical with their layout.
Ashes of the Damned is a good example. I like the map, but why do all the fog areas have to perfectly lead you to each POI? Why not have some diverging paths that let you explore into the fog areas a bit?

English

@Johnblack_ops I completely agree. Customizable perk set up, limited weapon selection for your base kit which makes it better than every modern zombies system giving you any gun at the cost of the rarity system, specialists unique to your selection (though I suppose they could’ve made quests)
English

@MmmmDoughnuts21 I liked BO4 to the point I got bullied off the internet ‼️ In all seriousness BO4 will always be the zombies game I’m going to be most fond of since day 1
English

@xpertfusion3 @MadcapGaming420 Imagine 4 maps at launch back then, only to be followed with 4 maps in an entire lifecycle with Cold War 💔 Man I remember this announcement, nearly missed my flight when this was happening
English

Blundell announcing Black Ops 4 will have three fully-loaded maps at launch is still one of the craziest moments in Zombies. The game even ended up having a 4th bonus map on top of that.

Still chasing this feeling. The absolute pinnacle of Call of Duty Zombies Hype 🤝
English

@xpertfusion3 I’m surprised we’re the minority on this. “Just don’t use the loadout system”
“Just don’t use the systems the game is built on”
“Just don’t use the gameplay mechanics”
The modern zombies system is built on these systems. I *can* start with a pistol, but am incentivized not to.
English

The whole “just don’t use it” debate is one of the most interesting gaming conversations, and I genuinely don’t fully understand what makes someone believe one way or the other.
This obviously relates to Loadouts in COD Zombies too with people saying to “just start with a pistol”, but clearly this conversation exists in all games.
I’m just so interested in what makes someone feel one way or the other because it seems so divided.
I’m obviously on the side that thinks games should have creative intent behind its mechanics and balance is important. Challenges aren’t as fun to overcome when you force the challenge on yourself, it’s more fun when it’s the game challenging you. So the “just don’t use it” argument doesn’t work as a solution for majority of players.

Shoutout to the worst trend in modern gaming discourse
English

@AestheticGamer1 Don’t fall for the bait, us RE fans never played the games.
English

@xpertfusion3 The BO4 system was perfect, I’ll stand by it. You can start with a LIMITED selection but weapon kits actually function so you can have a camo grind.
English

@MargwaBot The problem lies in modes like Endgame and DMZ not being updated w/ Warzone. When BO8/9/10 release, there’s just no reason to come back and it’ll lose replay value over time. This is why I wish IW would continue DMZ with every release and just give it an overhaul per game.
English

While they are campy, Resident Evil isn’t known for horrible or comically bad stories either. The character arcs alone are why we have so many people asking for icons like Jill to return, which wouldn’t be the case if their retrospective stories weren’t at least well written.

(1/3) Okay, I already know some Resident Evil fans will have a bone to pick w/me, but ARE the characters & stories the thing everyone loves most from the RE games? While I have fondness for them, if I had to name the 5 best things about RE, I don't think either would make the cut
