Take it from me, as someone who did COPIOUS amounts of Ketamine in my 20s, that is not all he is on.

It’s all just downstream of oil. Higher oil price => Japan, Korea, etc. buy at higher $ denom => weakens local ccy & increases local inflation => CBs forced to intervene or put a poker face (either way local bond yields rise) => CBs sell most liquid position to defend ccy (i.e. US treasuries) => US yields rise.. The reverse holds true, especially if US takes control of Iran & Hormuz. That’s the wager. Short term pain for long term gain.
