@DeadlockAnon Doorman player here. These clips are so common and screw me over more than they aid me most games. So many people carted to walker just getting clipped into the wall and escaping for free.

Doorman having effectively zero counterplay to kidnapping right now is disgusting, esp. combined with the bug abuse to just delete people during game-deciding teamfights. Had this happen to me in multiple games now
Valve needs to make it so you can't cart people through doors.

@GangurEXE @skatestopped @DieChanc3 I think bouncepad also shouldn't be disabled by slowing hex. But doorman's doors aren't movement. They're moving two spaces to be together.

@Darkship2003 @skatestopped @DieChanc3 So is bounce pad, but it works on that. It's an ability witch does nothing but enable faster movement between two points on a map, it should be affected.

@Aellectris @AlanTheTeemo Shadowflame is 8% increased damage assuming you're dealing 100% of all damage to the target. 27.34 more damage minimum.

@AlanTheTeemo I think it's prob shadowflame on targets below 70 MR and debatable above it. Not accounting for runes here though.

@cursedvisionary how many players play them 3 games. But I don't have that data so I'll go off skill floor.
As an example id guess Vyper has a high skill floor as her sliding is uniquely difficult, and so if assume her "balanced" winrate would be around 48.

@cursedvisionary However 50% is not the target winrate for all characters there's two things that can inflate and deflate a winrate. Ease of use means new players don't deflate the winrate as much or ruin games independently. And depth of play meaning how much players stick to them compared to2/3

@DeathyDL It's kinda just a "optimise the fun out of the game" thing. Where are you most advantaged in a fight? At the closest tower to your base. If you intend to fight them you send them there. If you're wasting their time you have more options.
I still giggle off every kidnap though.

I don't like playing against Doorman, but he's objectively cool as fuck.
He's an extremely unique hero that has infinite creative potential (doors) that often gets reduced to 1 playstyle (kidnapping people and being perverted).

@abyss_chris @DeadlockAnon I mean I pretty highly think win rates are the main stat people should look at for hero balance outside of pro play. And league has tighter balance bands for win rates with far more champions. Is there a different way you would judge balance?

@Darkship2003 @DeadlockAnon Dont agree honestly. I think dota 2 is better balanced, I think deadlock is better balanced too and a lot of other character based games like many fighting games are better balanced as well. But in leagues history leagues current balance is the best it was, yes

DL has 38 heroes, nearing the 40 that LoL launched with. Balance right now is the best it's ever going to be, and it will only get worse with each new hero/item added as build variety increases
If you want a competitive game that is even remotely fair, you are in the wrong genre.

@DeadlockAnon Dota 2 has over 120 heroes and it is very much balanced. Don't talk about a entire genre when the only game you played before Deadlock is League of Legends.

@DeadlockAnon I love anti-carries we need more anti-carries.
Currently there's too many dps focused heroes. We need more cc bot heroes that punish bad positioning. Doorman is the best at this (kidnaps). I will say doorman's bells are annoying but like gun characters have far more poke.

@DeadlockAnon This is a common misconception. Low skill characters CAN trap new players into only playing them if they're too easy. But graves isn't easy enough to cross that threshold. (Yuumi)
Simple characters allow players to learn the game rather than wrestling with the character.
