Things are getting very bad…!! #BanGeoEngineeringUK #GeoEngineering

Here is the outfall of Hawkshead Pumping Station discharging untreated sewage directly into a Ramsar site and a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). How is it that untreated sewage is permitted to discharge like this in a National Park and @UNESCO World Heritage site? For those that don’t know, a Ramsar site is designated to have international importance under the Ramsar Convention. @WindrushWasp’s @watervole3 has demonstrated illegal spilling from the site since 2018. WASP has demonstrated ‘spilling early,’ which means spilling before capacity has been met. This site is also one of the biggest spillers in the catchment. Since 2020, it has discharged 5,279 hours of untreated sewage into Esthwaite Lake, which then flows into the south basin of Windermere. 5,279 equates to 219 full 24-hour days since 2020. The discharge is screened via a 6mm mesh, which is one of the reasons you are not seeing sewage debris (condoms, toilet paper, etc.) within the discharge. Nevertheless, this cloudy concoction will contain faecal bacteria, phosphorus, ammonia—basically anything associated with untreated sewage that damages the environment. I have personally visited this outfall and others with the Environment Agency after raising issues with them. This is the reality of the Lake District National Park. The rivers and lakes are not being adequately protected by those assigned to do it. The evidence by @WindrushWasp shows United Utilities are breaking the law at this site, and my question is, what is the Environment Agency going to do about it? savewindermere.com @Feargal_Sharkey @GoodLawProject @GreenJennyJones @timfarron @adamvaughan_uk @sandralaville
