Reflecting on how successful the #BikeBus has been in a short amount of time, I remind myself that no one asked me to do this. Not a single parent, student or teacher. I knew it would be positive for the school community & my g-d have they shown up.

When these happen, I have to keep looking and listening until I find the moment that breaks me. This is it. His utter decency and absolute heartbreak. I can’t stop crying and that fury and suffering frees us to be reckless with courage. Don’t look away. That is when we give up.

Amerie Jo Garza's father, a med aide, says he found out she was one of the victims when he arrived on the scene and was helping another little girl covered in blood. She told him her best friend had been shot. When he asked her name, she said his daughter's. There aren't words.




NEW: As Denver redraws districts, there's conflict. Four members of council have collectively authored an op-ed in response to a meme posted by @CandiCdeBacaD9. They call her reference to "malinchestrong" "deeply offensive, frustrating, and damaging."
