Well, take a look at all the funds being added in a few weeks... there are many funds on there with hundreds of millions & billions in AUM. Astronomically stupid.

Many do not want to invest in mixing. It is unfortunate. And before randoms jump on this…know that investment doesn’t mean a bajillion dollars. Many proficient engineers are available to mix and master at fair prices.

@TatianaSnead @MajestyRia Right, because a little grit is often times a useful, purposeful choice in a mix. Frequencies clashing and sounds not being able to be heard properly is bad product.

@MajestyRia think this is why cleo’s music hits the way it do. her mixes still have a little grit on them. but that’s not what i’m talking about. some of these mixes are really bad, takes away from enjoying the song. vocals drowning in the beat or harms clashing bc they aren’t mixed cleanly.

going through these music submissions while i’m on this train to DC and 1 thing i’ll note (respectfully), so many of yall make AMAZING music.. penmanship, vocal ability, production, it’s all there. but the mix? awful. that mix is what separates demos from great records.
