@C_ENicolson Foulds can help with this. His forward/overlapping runs down left occupies opposition players that double up on McPake, making him more effective & impactful. Forrester doesn’t do this & is far more conservstive, leaving McPake more isolated on left.

So I get why that doesn’t suit him, just like Diabate at RB. As I say, having 4 top CBs to choose from is a nice position - no pun intended - to be in.

Nice problem to have with the 4 CBs we have inc Bozo. Baird does make me nervous with ball at feet though.

@C_ENicolson @pavelkennedy @thecouriersport I like Boyes, he suits Simo’s ball-playing style more than Baird does. Willing to break the lines more. But Baird + Foulds did look good. Always preferred Foulds to Forrester. Foulds always on front foot & looking for McPake overlap, which helps when he’s doubled-up on.

Massive 3 points with Thistle dropping points. Team played well overall. Thought Foulds was outstanding and Steven and Forrester played well when they came on. Glad Diabate got his goal. As for Ayr United I wish them nothing but the worst. Bunch of hammer throwing dirty bastards. If that Nick McAllister tried playing football as much as he was greeting like fuck he’d maybe be a half decent player.
