I believe you're conflating two different topics here. There's a difference b/w tolerating someone's personal religious beliefs and tolerating public speech by a public figure that impacts the organization's well being.
The Bulls are a professional sports organization that believe in inclusion. Being an employee of that organization is a privilege. Whenever you go out and say something publicly, you're not only representing your own beliefs, you're representing the organization. You are in essence, a spokesperson for that organization. If you say something that damages that organization's standing with a segment of their fan base, then you've got a problem.
Ivey and Henderson have the right to share their beliefs, but the organizations have the right to let the player go, if the organization feels like the person is not representing their organization in a way they're comfortable. That's how it works.
Also, what you're saying is that the organization should have tolerated whatever Ivey said, while Ivey obviously didn't tolerate the organization's beliefs. That's certainly an interesting opinion. You can't have it both ways.

That’s comical. He’s not going anywhere:
1. TreVeyon was a rookie of the year talent last year and has more upside than any other young RB in the league.
2. TreVeyon is a follower of Jesus who quoted the words of Jesus, in proper context, applying it to a specific biblical truth, during a week when believers celebrate his resurrection.
Religious freedom is foundational for every American. This includes Americans who work in sports.
