There’s a reason why Tom Holland’s Spider-Man was removed from Avengers: Doomsday that many people don’t know about 👀 Based on multiple reports as of May 2026, Tobey Maguire is heavily rumored and expected to return as Spider-Man in the film. He’s said to play a major role in an opening sequence involving a multiversal incursion and even a battle against the X-Men. But interestingly, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man isn’t even mentioned. However, there are three theories that could explain this. The first theory is that the chair reveal is a giant misdirect. Marvel may be putting heavy focus on casting reveals to act as a red herring, while hiding something much bigger. The third act of the film could end up being a massive blowout featuring legendary characters like Spider-Man, Captain America, and Wolverine. The second theory is the Venom “virus” idea. Many believe Peter Parker could get infected by the small piece of Venom left behind in the post-credit scene of the last movie. Since it’s not a fully developed symbiote, it could behave more like a virus, causing gradual mutations, a cocoon phase, organic webbing, and increasing strength over time. This might be why we don’t see Tom’s Spider-Man until Secret Wars, where he finally appears in the symbiote suit, similar to the comics. The third theory is that Spider-Man: Brand New Day takes place at the same time as Avengers: Doomsday. This could explain why certain characters like Hulk and others aren’t part of Doomsday but are expected to appear in Secret Wars.

Have you ever noticed that Iron Man’s suit helmet was actually a huge security issue? 🤔 In Captain America: Civil War, when Iron Man opens his helmet in front of Captain America, the helmet completely detaches from his head. The same thing happens when Iron Man creates the nano suit the helmet again fully separates from his head. But in that scene where Hawkeye shoots an arrow and breaks the web from Captain America’s hands, Iron Man suddenly gets shocked after seeing the arrow and quickly covers his head with the helmet. Because in that situation, anyone could attack Iron Man from behind when his head is exposed something he wouldn’t even be able to sense. Then in Avengers: Infinity War, when the Guardians throw a bomb at the Avengers, Iron Man is only able to sense it once it comes right in front of him. After this, Iron Man realizes that using these open helmets in his suits is risky, since anyone could directly attack his head from behind. That’s why in Avengers: Endgame, even with the nano suit, he redesigns the helmet like his older suits which only opens from the front. This ensures that even when the helmet is open, no one can attack him from behind. And as you already know, Iron Man learns from his mistakes.

A small Hulk detail that raises big questions 🤨 Not sure if anyone noticed, but Banner’s gamma inhibitor in Spider-Man: Brand New Day feels important. Back in the Avengers, Bruce literally said, ‘I'm always angry,’ meaning he already learned how to control Hulk. So why would he suddenly need a device now? This could mean Banner didn't calm Hulk down he locked him away. And if Hulk has been trapped inside Bruce this whole time, his next transformation could be absolute chaos.
