To be fair we don’t know if the emotional spectrum is introduced yet, if Hal is parallax they very well could be setting up the johns run for later seasons or movies, they just HAVE to do green lantern rebirth or it’s cooked. Sinestro is also a season regular and Garret dillahunt may be black hand so it seems possible
