@jsnover A "watching old people eat" level of excitement is a fantastic outcome if you've experienced the alternative nightmare on elm street when sending complex, scaled automation to tens of thousands of nodes ;)

For some reason, this morning I remembered the time Ballmer told me, "System Center demos are like watching old people eat". I"m pretty sure that wasn't a compliment. 🤣

Hey @KnackBags - absolutely loving my series 2 medium backpack! One suggestion - when it is mounted on a roller bag - all the internal pockets are sideways - would be fantastic to have the transparent ones be dual layer with one zipper that is horizontal when mounted to a roller!

@mitchellh I think the underlying code reveals a key difference between these scenarios 🤣

@dhh - wanted to let you know about @CodeTheDream because they are one of the few "change to a coding career" bootcamps I know of that features Ruby on Rails ;)

Is it possible that Developers could take Joy in remediating software vulnerabilities? Join me at AWS re:Inforce to hear about how DevSecOps alignment with the science of human habits makes a huge positive impact to Developer Experience (DX) @awscloud @gitlab #devsecops #devops

@robertsirc If I could map this proficiency challenge proactively, I'd be more careful about adding frameworks, languages and technologies to a given "Full Stack" because I'd clearly see the knock-on effect on headcount and team-count.

@DarwinTheorizes Your thoughts on "Full Stack" Developers? Possible or are they just back-end devs button mashing front-end code?

My wife told me her team has to learn Kubernetes. She is the jr. dev on the team and is exempt from this. Apparently they cut DevOps and the devs now have manage their own clusters and deploy all on there own. This is weird for me to watch from afar. #Kubernetes

@robertsirc I have a theoretical construct I call "Know How Units" that could measure how much know-how is required by the span of a given "Full Stack" and then mapping it to individual requirements to get in front of specialty and team fragmentation boundaries.

@robertsirc So if we could map "the proficiencies required for a team" I think we'd see when individual specialization is needed (e.g. IaC Dev) and when team specialization is required by the proficiency problem (e.g. Dev + Ops Teams)

@robertsirc Supposedly across a DevOps team you need maintained proficiencies in the Full APP Stack and the Full DevOps stack and we have Metcalfe's Law (two pizza teams) bounding team size.

@robertsirc @robertsirc - I think proficiency is different than latent knowledge - it's why the idea of "rusty skills" exists. So proficiency means you are production-grade today - not in the past.

@CBergmeister Since you can add any MSI property to a package execution without modifying the package, can you please clarify your ask? Thanks!
