@CatOrRaccoon Many collectors who have money live in the world of stocks, business, KPI, marketing and PR. So, sometimes it's the only language they can actually understand. We see colors, they speak numbers.

It’s such weird that collectors desire their fav artists to communicate in a PR language. I hear that the branding etc. But can you imagine you prefer your fav artist to put a fake language in communication with you? Such weird… Embrace the honest language instead PR

@kylegordonart @amadon True. Web3 world gave me an opportunity to learn so much new (3D modeling, digital marketing, motion graphics, AR/VR, etc.), and right now it helps me a lot in my IRL professional career.

There's so much opportunity still for digital art/creativity. Tbh I always saw NFTs/web3 as a piece of the stack for sharing/selling my work and skills, sort of like e-commerce or social media. It still is the best way to distribute digital art as standalone "Art". Diversification is essential as a digitally native artist, and I personally get bored of communicating my work through a single lens consistently. It can stifle growth, curiosity, and exploration. Changing a sale mechanism, narrative, or visuals isn't enough to stimulate the artist, and this space, although incredible at times, can be extremely emotionally taxing and exhausting. I think it's healthy for artists to be doing other things than just web3/NFTs, which obviously also means less presence in the online vacuum. Participation doesn't have to be an all or nothing thing, sometimes relevance and presence is maxed (like during a drop/a big sale), and sometimes it's barely visible (private commissions, client work, personal explorations, life stuff).

Seeing NYC this week, uncomfortable truth is the digital art space has shrunk significantly.
