I am a product of inter tribal marriage, my mother is baruba from Kwara state and my father is a Yoruba man. No one, I repeat no one has called me a bastard or tainted blood.

It is not true that half Yoruba half non-Yoruba are inherently labeled “tainted blood”, there are significant number of Yoruba celebrities and normies that are NOT full Yoruba, yet no one labels them “tainted blood”, Skepta, Kiss Daniel, Sade Adu etc are typical examples.
If you come online to make self-demeaning/self-loathing comments about Yoruba people, you will prolly be labelled “tainted blood” even if both of your parents are Yoruba.
You absolutely have the right to self-demean yourself, infact, you have the right to reduce yourself to smithereens, but when you involve a shared heritage in your loathsomeness, others that are proud to identify with that heritage also have the right to defend their heritage.

This is so out of context. This post was showing like other people appreciating them. I said that most of them were maybe half Yoruba or biracial so it doesn’t really portray the phenotype if that was what the creator was trying to show. That was what I meant, the comment is still there. It’s the same thing that happens on this app when I post pictures and people start saying I don’t look Yoruba or I’m “tainted blood”. So I don’t understand how this is trying to paint me a tribalistic person. Is it because I have condemned over zealous behavior? Please do not paint me in the light that I’m not! Do you know how many times I have been tagged or called a tainted blood on this app? Because of inter tribalism?

Miss Onion, if this is actually you, then it is hilarious to think/ say you were targeted because you don’t look Yoruba.
Firstly, no sane person will see you and instantly think you must have a mixed parent, you are an average lady at best, there’s nothing extra about your face.
Millions of Yoruba ladies look like you and millions of them look better than you.
Secondly, you already have an inbuilt sentiment, and anything that happens to you in a negative way is usually twisted by you to validate your bias.
