The main program that starts and manages almost everything on modern Linux computers, “systemd”, recently added an optional "birthDate" field to its user database records. This stores a user's full birth date so apps can check age, for example, to comply with new age-verification laws in places like California, Colorado, and Brazil. It is not automatic age checking. Systemd only saves the date. Only admins can set or change it, but the user and some sandboxed apps can read it.

In an email White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly told DefenseScoop to "Stay tuned!" and included an alien emoji. Why do Linux laptops cost so much? With Windows out of the picture, should they not cost less? But you look at preloaded Linux laptops, and they are more expansive than similar spec Windows laptops. The same is the case with Linux mini-PCs. Your thoughts?

@UNTITLED2X2X2 Well, Linux is open source and systemd was already widely hated. It doesn't follow the UNIX philosophy. There's always BSD or Linux systems that use init instead of systemd. Then local LLMs and sanitized proxy searches. Local DNS. VPNs. Etc.

I love the algorithms. I started to make an attempt at reverse engineering the UAP I saw and now a bunch of others are starting to make similar claims. The physics already exist. The papers are already published. This is like the 3rd person I've seen.

The US just approved $1.2 trillion in infrastructure spending. A huge chunk goes to upgrading the power grid — transmission lines, substations, transformers. If compact fusion works, you don't need a grid. Every building generates its own power. We're spending $1.2 trillion upgrading infrastructure that could be obsolete. Unless someone already knows it's not obsolete. Because the alternative is classified.
