@ok6ixx That exact “circle back” phrase is literally why some projects that could take 2 weeks take 6 weeks.. In my company we don’t really “circle back” if it’s something that needs to be “addressed in the future” we move past it quickly. I absolutely hate that phrase tbh

There's a new guy at work and he's been here maybe two weeks and we're in a meeting and my boss is talking about quarterly goals or whatever and she goes "we really need to circle back to customer retention" and this guy raises his hand and goes "I have a question" and my boss is like yes and he goes "why do you always say circle back?" and the whole room goes quiet and my boss is like what and he goes "you say it like every meeting is there a reason we're going in circles why don't we just go forward" and someone coughs and he's still going "like I've been keeping track you've said it eighteen times in two weeks" and my boss just stares at him and goes "have you never worked in an office before" and he goes "I have but nobody said circle back this much it feels aggressive" and I swear my boss aged five years and she goes "it's just a phrase" and he goes "okay but like why circles" and she just moved on with the meeting. He got let go during his probation period today and I heard him ask HR if it was because of the circle thing.

@Yetee_ @lassejv Yeah, but now it's at least better and they've improved their security. And you can pin down versions and use sfw firewall. With next.js it's way more and uncontrollable

i fkn hate next.js, sorry but its sucks so much compared to tanstack start. Was building docs and codex choosed the fumadocs next.js template. 9s to compile. tf. So slow. Forgot how horible next.js was lol.

almost every large codebase I worked on pre-AI was very much the left picture. how much of the codebase it was varied, but even greenfield projects still had aspects of that cause there's only so much manpower and time. people making these pictures have never worked on real teams or products

interesting things going on over on reddit. are people really pretending humans built perfect code and AI has just turned us into slop machines?

@samlambert I actually feel more confident that something I put into production is more secure now than before.. I feel like before there was always the potential edge case miss and such, now I spend my time coming up with edge cases for AI to develop tests..
