After reading Game Engine Black Book: Wolfenstein 3D by @fabynou, I was curious about implementing a wolf3d style raycasting engine in #LabVIEW. More specifically LabVIEW FPGA. After much tinkering, here it is - everything fits and runs on the FPGA, including video output 😀

@patwillallen My experience is similar. Many Windows + RT apps, and maybe one Mac app (which was more of a nice-to-have to run on the customer's machine).

@Dataflow_G Sad to see it go. I wonder how many folks were still using this version? In all the years I've been developing, I've only ever had one RFQ for a non-windows application, and it was for Linux.

@dnatt Unrelated, but PopupMenus.ElevateCreation is disabled by default in LV2023Q3. Any idea if this was intentional? I didn't realize how second nature it had become, so was a bit jarring to find those menus items missing. Manually added the key to labview.ini and all is good.

@dnatt Here's a VI which reproduces the issue (see txt for steps). At 150% zoom, LV treats text as UTF-16LE (and correctly renders UTF-16LE text as unicode). I've only been able to reproduce the issue with that particular tree control. github.com/dataflowg/snip… github.com/dataflowg/snip…
