Warning to anyone insured with Belair: I was told my basement flood was covered, but I’ve now received a $9,000 bill for unfinished work. Make sure you get all investigation documents and confirm everything in writing.

Homeowners: be cautious with belairdirect. My claim was denied even though the insurer admitted they were still waiting on the full contractor report. Denials should not happen before investigations are complete.

@IntactAssurance It was a severe rain storm regions were affected all over Ontario yet Bélair looks for loopholes not to pay homeowners after they have been paying insurance for 27 years to their company

27 years with Bélairdirect/Intact insurance , and my first ever water claim was denied without and proof documents provided. Explanations keep changing . This is not transparency or fairness.

@IntactAssurance I have spoken to supervisors already . I have an enhanced water package and proof it was overland water but the classify under ground which no kne in my region can get insured for . How is that not a scam and unfair way to treat customers .
