These chess boards will continue to serve as affordable educational tools that help promote critical thinking, creativity, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills among young students across schools in Kwara State, Nigeria. @thegiftofchess is on a mission to distribute 1 million chess boards worldwide by 2030, while creating jobs and supporting a healthier environment through the recycling of plastic waste into chess sets. The organization currently operates production facilities in Nairobi, Kenya, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Some moments in life feel full circle, and this is one of them. On the 23rd of May 2026, I will be launching my book at Orisun Art Gallery, Abuja. I still remember a moment that stayed with me—being told, *“your story will be told in a book.”* At the time, I didn’t fully understand what that meant. Today, I’m living it. Chess has been a big part of my journey. It has taught me patience, courage, and how to keep going even when things feel difficult. This book is my story—of learning, growing, and believing that something small can become something meaningful. This is more than just a book launch for me. It’s a celebration of dreams, support, and the people who believed in me along the way.
